They do not know how to react to the threat of «velvet revolutions»

As reported by the source of “Kavkaz-Center” in Moscow , the Kremlin is anxious about growing distemper in the regions and they do not know how to react to the threat of the so-called “velvet revolutions”.

The matter, first of all, concerns the national republics, where the processes are in progress and the revolutionary wave at any moment can hit the local creature of the Kremlin.

It is expected the events will be developing according to the same scenario – forcible resignation of the corrupt head of the republic, seizure of the local administration, reprisals against the representatives of the ruling clans, putting in claims for new elections, and all this against the background of pogroms and street clashes.

According to the source, after the discouraging failure in Ukraine , Putin charged his administration headed by the FSB man Patrushev with the task to work out a plan of preventive special measures aimed at non-admission of any unapproved and uncontrollable actions in the territory of Russia and especially in Moscow .

The alarming symptoms of the forthcoming mutinies, nevertheless, have become apparent in North Ossetia , Bashkiria , Kabardino-Balkaria, and Republic of Altai (populated predominantly by the Russians under the slogan “Misha, go away”). Kalmykia is on a waiting list. And neither Putin's administration, nor FSB, to all appearances, has suggested any serious preventive counterrevolutionary strategy so far.

In view of this, one of the Moscow editions closely connected with military circles writes: “an attempt of conversion of the federal state to the unitary one has run across the ghost of “velvet revolutions”.

Besides that it gives the impression that the Kremlin is keeping itself aloof from active settlement of the nascent conflicts. The rebellious population and the leaders of these regions are practically left face to face, and the events may get out of hand.

Putin's vertical of power has come against the sober reality. Declarations on centralization have proved to be insufficient. It is important to take responsibility for all that is happening in the country and take corresponding measures in addition to verbal intentions to establish rigid centralized power. But the Kremlin authorities cannot do that, or maybe do not want to do so.

The Western editions also write about the virus of revolution in Russia . According to The Washington Post , although the opposition is weak in Russia , people all at once began to speak about a revolution.

“The orange phantom is wandering in Russia . Our groups are becoming more and more active. People can burst of anger when they are tired of bearing it any more”, said one of the activists of the anti-Putin youth movement “Pora” at the last press conference of the organization.

A few months ago these words would have seemed funny, but today Russia is in ferment. The anti-Putin fever has mainly affected the youth.

“After the events in Ukraine , the Kremlin is worried, even has a fit of hysterics”, said Tarasov, the coordinator of the Centre for New Sociology and Practical Politics in Moscow .

Businessman Boris Berezovsky, who is the enemy Number One in the Kremlin, told in his interview to “Versya” about his point of sight of revolutionary events in the post-soviet space and about the situation that in his opinion threatens Russia .

According to Boris Berezovsky, the revolution is inevitable in Russia . “All that is happening in the post-Soviet republics is inevitability. Russia is not an exclusion”, - said the businessman.

At the same time, Berezovsky says that Russia is not threatened by a “velvet revolution”: the upheaval will be bloody, the point at issue is the quantity of blood.

“Once I had a talk with the President of Poland Mr. Kwasnevsky, and he expressed his opinion which I remember. “We, Poles, and you, Russians are the Slavs, - said he. – But there is a difference between us. We struggle to the first drop of blood, and you – to the last drop of blood”.

Therefore, no “velvet revolution” is possible in Russia . The talking point is the quantity of blood. Judging by the stupid and irresolute authorities of present day Russia , I do not think there will be much blood, but the bloodshed is inevitable”, - said Boris Berezovsky.
