Circassian Warriors

In reference to the discussions in regard to the consequences of the Caucasian/Russian war that reached to the well-known conclusions which were derived through logical events and outcomes. A brief background to the said subject illustrates that the Circassians had their destiny of living for thousands of years in a strategic area that used to be and still, the concern of ambitious colonial powers, especially the Russian Empire's imperial greed of occupying and colonizing this strategic area that furnishes lots of possible gains such as the control of the strategic Caucasus mountains and reaching the warm waters of the Black Sea which enables the reach to use the Sea ports to expand and extend further and/or establishing trade centers and routes with Southern Europe, Africa, the Middle East area, India and South East Asia. Russia had waged a series of imperial wars against all the nations around the Muscovites and beyond.

The suspicious and opportunist rules and acts that the Ottoman Empire showed when dealing with the Caucasus had been an opportunist policy that wanted to grab many benefits while looking for the selfish gains when acting in double-face or multi-face profile, and wanted to control the region and the nations of the North Caucasus by playing the brotherhood and the religion tone, but on the other hand executing conspiracies with Imperial Russia, but the greedy Russian Empire, and after it claimed victory over the tiny North Caucasian Nations after hundreds of years of imperial and colonial criminal wars.

This losing game that Ottomans played and lost reminds of the famous proverb that says "Grab All, Lose All"...

All targeted nations had different feelings and positions towards those imperial powers, but had a certain trust and confidence in the Ottoman promises that were never met, because when the ailing at the time and later dying Ottoman Empire had reached a dead-end with it's imperial competitor and decided to sign a peace treaty with the Russian Impress Catharine the second, which left the destiny and the right of self-determination blowing in the wind and even hanging on spider nets, irrespective all the empty promises of helping the North Caucasians to be able to defend their motherland against the Russian imperial greed with lies and religious emotional expectations that were given, but were never met or respected.

The Circassian great misfortune and the events that brought great damage, loss, destruction, sufferings and atrocities of trench warfare to Circassia in May, 1864, when the imperial interests met and crossed over the nations and the land of the North Caucasus. The Russians occupied and colonized in the broad meaning of colonization, the whole North Caucasus Region which led to their revenge and retaliation by inflicting heavy burden on the nations of the North Caucasus who continued fighting the Russian Imperialists for hundreds of years, and still until today.

The Russians seized, captured, took over, confiscated, over-whelmed, occupied, and assumed the control and possession of the Caucasus land, They also killed, assassinated, murdered, massacred, slaughtered, and butchered individuals, tribes, clans, and nations with no lenient, mercy  compassion, or sympathy.

When the Circassian and North Caucasian leaders felt, sensed, and became aware and ascertained that Russian invaders were closing in, they gathered in the Sushi area and they requested and appealed from the assumed great powers at the time, mainly the Ottoman Empire  and Great Britain to get the assistance of stopping the greedy Imperial Russian invasion which got closer and closer to capture and occupy the whole region; but they were faced and met with eternal silence from those great powers, and others. They even witnessed with blessings the massacre and genocide of tens of North Caucasian peoples and nations.

The Ottoman Empire added a touch of seemingly a kind gesture, but in fact was evil, poisonous, vicious, and wicked. The Ottoman Sultan and authorities with the permission and blessings of the tyrant Russian invaders, dispatched their envoys, delegates and emissaries to show that they were trying to comfort and assess the North Caucasian Nations, and they invited all of them to the so-called Islamic Ottoman Empire. That sounded good and humane! Didn't it?

The bitter fact was that the Ottoman Empire wanted warriors and tough fighters who will be able to defend that ailing empire, and the plan was to send those Circassians and North Caucasians to the Balkan to fight for the survival of the Turkish presence there, and one other main topic which was to send them to Arabia to be able to control the unrest that started to erupt from time to time in Syria, Lebanon, Palestine, Iraq, Jordan, Hijaz (presently part of Saudi Arabia) which got also an important task which was mainly and principally to guard and protect the transportation facilities and especially the "Hiaz Railroad" which was the main connecting mean of transportation from Istanbul to Al-Medina Al-Munawarah, which used to be called the Hajj Railroad.

Those oppressed Circassians and North Caucasians are still living mainly in Turkey and those areas as minorities who did not forget all the atrocities that forced their grandfathers to leave motherland. The are presently living in more than 30 countries of the world including motherland, and their hearts and minds are pointing and even residing in dear motherland, and they are ambitious to see the moment that they can return home, and it's worth to mention that the majority of those North Caucasians have one and only one proverb in mind which is "Home Is Where The Heart Is"...

The Circassians had to live certain unpleasant life for hundreds of years, to adapt and adjust to the continuous "state of war" that was subjected to. That particular and exceptional life of Circassians created certain caliber and standard of behaviors and conducts that constructed the experienced human being with durability, strength hardiness, solidity, tolerance, endurance, toleration, bearing, fortitude, sufferance, suffering, experiencing, and firmness being located in such environment and hardship that made the people live in tough conditions and circumstances, when Imperial Russia started and persisted waging it's unequal and criminal wars continuously, persistently, constantly, incessantly, and unceasingly for controlling and colonizing the Circassian and other North Caucasian nations' destiny and future, regardless of the consequences and the disastrous results.
