US Army General Attacked, 10 US Troops Terminated in Iraq

In a communique distributed on Thursday, September 7, 2006, by the Mujahideen Shura Council in Iraq, the group accepted responsibility for a suicide bombing that occurred this past Monday, September 4, targeting a high ranking American general in al-Mosul. According to the message, the bomber detonated his car within an American convoy containing an American general who is in charge of the American prisons in Iraq. The resulting explosion killed ten cross worshippers and destroyed their Hummer vehicles.
