
A Talib Ghulam Gul carried out a suicide attack in Gardez city of Paktia province. The attack left the Muhammad Hakeem Taniwal, puppet governor of the province, dead.
Taliban captured the Qalakha district after a heavy fighting today (Sep. 10). The fighting left four policemen killed.Taliban also captured Dilaram district in Nemroz province after a short fight. Puppet forces left a nearby post and Taliban also captured it. Taliban fighters seized a number of vehicles and arms in the two districts.
The NATO admited that Taliban got power after they captured areas in Zabul and Helmand provinces and strongly resisted NATO forces in the area. This forced NATO to signed agreements for sending fresh troops but not a single member country ready to send its troops to Afghanistan. Meanwhile Turkey clearly said that it will not send any more troops to Afghanistan.
Taliban fighters ambushed a convoy of foreign and puppet forces in Hassan Karez area on Zabul-Ghazi highway on Saturday (Sept. 9) and destroyed their three vehicles. Taliban also captured four puppet soldiers but has no information regarding their (coalition and Afghan forces) casualties.
A Taliban fighter attacked the PRT office in Paktia capital city of Gardez on Friday night and killed two people.
Taliban fighters attacked a convoy of foreign and puppet forces in Zarmat district of Paktia on Friday province and destroyed four coalition and two puppet vehicles. But Taliban has not accurate details about the casualties.
Taliban guerrillas destroyed two vehicles of coalition forces between Kamdesh and Barekao districts of Nooristan province but has not details of casualties of coalition forces, said Zabet Muhammad Naeem, a the spokesman of Baraa Bin Malik group in Kunar province. Taliban spokesman Dr Muhmmad Hanif said that collation jets heavy pounded their own troops in Kamdesh district of Nooristan province.
NATO forces were attacked in Helmand province, a local said on Saturday late night. A local of Nawozad district of Helmand province phoned Afghan Islamic Press and said, "Taliban fired three rockets on foreign forces that left three foreign soldiers dead. After the attack some helicopters hovered on the area. One of them landed and after some while they returned", he added. There is no word from NATO officials till filling of this report.
The NATO aircraft bombarded Sept. 09 Pashmool area with bombs containing tear gas and fainting people. He also disclosed that heavy fighting was also took place in the area between Panjwai and Zangabad in which 20 NATO vehicles were destroyed and 20 puppet and ISAF troops were killed, AIP reported.
Fierce fighting and bombing is continuing in Panjwai to such an extent that people were unable to burry their loved ones who were killed in the bombing of ISAF aircraft, a resident said Saturday (Sept. 09). A resident of Panjwai district of Kandahar told Afghan Islamic Press on condition of anonymity that a huge number of civilian were killed and wounded in the continuing bombing and ground battle. He said Panjwai, Zangabad and Sufaid Rawan area were the main target and the fighting was continuing in these areas. He said the fighting was so intense that people of these areas were unable to evacuate the injured civilians to hospital and burry the dead. He said those outside their homes with children and livestock and those inside their houses were being targeted by the aircraft indiscriminately. One of our family member was killed four days back but we are unable to burry him while two boys were buried as the roofs of the house collapsed due to bombing but we do no know what to do?, he narrated.
He said the bodies of over 50 civilians killed in Panjwai, Zangabad and other villages were lying there. These people were in their house with children, women and livestock and they were all Afghans, he said, adding that most of the people had left their houses and now living with their friends and relatives in other areas. When asked about their demands from the government, he replied, "The residents of Panjwai want the war to be stopped so that they burry the people, killed in the bombings or shift the injured, dead and their luggage to other areas", AIP reported.
A vehicle of ISAF was blown up by Taliban fighters in central Baghlan on Sept. 9, killing all the troops in the vehicle.
Taliban killed two US soldiers during a clash in eastern Kunar province Friday night (Sept. 08) in Tarra area of Manogi district of Kunar province. Two Taliban fighters were also martyred (Shahideen, insha Allah) in the firefight.
