8 NATO Vehicles Destroyed in 24 Hours in Afghanistan

À fidayeen attacked an ISAF convoy on highway one in Zhare district Kandahar province of at around 0900 today (September 17). The attack was carried out  by a Talib Abdul Wali of Helmand province. The attack left 6 ISAF soldiers killed and two their vehicles were destroyed. Canadians later said that it were their troops who had been attacked.

 

 Taliban fighters attacked  a coalition base in Manogi district of Kunar province September 16 where numerous foreign troops were killed and four coalition vehicles were destroyed.

 

In Krongal area of the same district Taliban fighters destroyed two coalition vehicles. All soldiers traveling in the vehicles were killed in the attack.

 

In another attack Taliban destroyed two coalition vehicles in Spera district of Khost province that left several coalition troops killed, AIP reported.

 

Meanwhile Operation Medusa, the Canadian-led NATO mission set up to drive Taliban fighters out of the Panjwaii district of southern Afghanistan has ended after two weeks,  Western military officials announced on Sunday. It was a total disaster for the Western invaders, independent analysts report.
