An explosion on a pipeline between Iran and Turkey near the Iranian town of Bazargan has disrupted gas shipments, the Turkish Energy Ministry official said Friday.
The official was quoted as saying that the explosion, which occurred at around 10:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 28, near a Turkish border crossing into Iran, was an act of sabotage, the Turkish Dogan Daily News Agency reports.
National Iranian Gas Company Managing Director Reza Kasaeizadeh was quoted by the semi-official Mehr News Agency as saying that 60 to 70 meters of the pipeline would have to be replaced. He too said he believed it was an act of sabotage but did not suggest who might be behind it.
Officials at the Iranian Embassy in Ankara, however, said they believed the explosion was an act of sabotage by the Kurdistan Workers\' Party (PKK), which is active on both sides of the Iran-Turkey border. From its very date of creation, the PKK militants were trained and financed by two Russian state terrorist groups: the KGB (now FSB) and GRU.
The Turkish official also said he expected deliveries from Russia to increase to compensate for the loss through the Iranian pipeline.
The idea of this sabotage operation possibly executed by Russian GRU terrorists is to make Turkey dependent on Russian gas deliveries, like Western Europe, and to influece its policy.
The second reason behind Russian terrorists being interested to sabotage this pipeline is to prevent the expansion of it to Europe
Turkey has been importing natural gas from Iran through the 2,580-kilometer pipeline since 2001. Turkey imports 20-22 million cubic meters of natural gas per day from Iran. Turkish and Iranian officials are discussing expanding the pipeline for exports to Europe which would cause enormous currency losses for the bandit state of Russia and deprive it of its major political instrument to subjugate Western Europe.
It is not for the first time that Russian terrorists from the GRU sabotage energy infrastructure of other countries.
Natural gas and electricity exports to Georgia were also disrupted during this winter by Russian terrorists\' sabotage that the Georgian President said were deliberate Russian steps to strangle his country.
