51 US, 8 UK, 66 Puppet Troops Killed During 7 Days in Afghanistan

Publication time: 7 October 2006, 16:49

The Taliban, the Mujahideen Armed Forces  of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, issued onThursday, October 5, 2006, the "harvest" of military operations executed by the Mujahideen for the period between Thursday, September 21, and Wednesday, September 27, 2006. Myriad attacks, such as suicide bombings, remote detonations of improvised explosive devices (IEDs), armed confrontations, and rocket launchings targeted American, British and their puppet forces and mercenaries in several provinces. These provinces include Balkh, in the north of Afghanistan, Qandahar, Paktika, Wardak, Helmand, Nangarhar, Nouristan and Ghazni. According to the tallies, a total of sixty-six puppets between "officials" and "soldiers", fifty-one American soldiers, and eight British soldiers are listed in documented results of numbers killed. These numbers do not include the Taliban's estimates of "large number" killed, or unknown number of soldiers inside a tank.

Among the tallies of the attacks, the Taliban questions Western media silence for the bombing of Afghani civilians on September 25, in Nouristan, by American forces to avenge their losses. More than twenty civilians were killed, including eight women and two children. In addition, the report points to a posting made September 24 on the website of NATO's ISAF forces, which claims that Mujahideen were killed and injured in Nowzad, in Helmand province. The Taliban stress "This is not the first untrue news story which the enemy launches on the page of ISAF. The enemy has taken on a habit of lying".
