
A mobile group of Chechen Mujahideen attacked Russian invaders near the district center of Vedeno late Saturday, October 7, 2006 according to a report from the South-Eastern Front Headquarters of the CRI Armed Forces (Commander Amir Hayrullah). 9 Russian invaders were killed and many were wounded during the resolute and sudden action of the Mujahideen. One Mujahid was also wounded.
Russian heavy artillery pounded the environs of Vedeno and Dyshny Vedeno, another village in the area, according to the report. No further information was available.
Russian Security Post Attacked in Chechnya
Chechen Mujahideen attacked a Russian security post on the outskirts of the district center of Kurchloi according to Russian news reports. The reports told nothing about possible Russian casualties.
Meanwhile, Russian invaders seized two citizen of the Chechen Republic of Ichkeria in a refugee camp in Nazran, the capital of the Russian-occupied Caucasian Muslim country of Ingushetia, according to other Russian news reports.
