According to a report by the Iran's Al-Aalam Television network, a powerful bomb blast on Wednesday afternoon claimed the lives of seven US soldiers in the western suburbs of the city of Karbala, in southern Iraq. The roadside bomb was planted en route a US Patrol convoy in West Karbala. The blast also destroyed two US military vehicles, the IRIB reported.
In other news three US marines were killed in clashes with Iraqi Mujahideen fighters (Iraqi insurgents) in the restive (volatile) Western Iraqi Province of Al-Anbar on Wednesday.
Yesterday ( On Tuesday ) two US marines were killed in Iraq; one in eastern Baghdad, and the other in Northern city of Mosul.
In another developments, Mujahideen raided the Baghdad offices of a new puppet television station Thursday, killing four guards and two employees.
Puppet police said: An unknown number of gunmen pulled up at the southeastern Baghdad offices of Iraq's Shaabiya satellite station in six cars, stormed in, opened fire, and withdrew.
Elsewhere, in Diwaniyah, south of Baghdad, Mujahideen broke into the city's Hamza puppet police station, killing one policeman and freeing 10 prisoners according to Radio Teheran's English Service.
