At Least 47 US Troops Killed in Afghanistan

On October 11, 2006 Taliban attacked a convoy of US troops in Loota village, Korangal area of Kunar province. A fierce firefight took place soon after the attack which left 20 US soldiers dead and two US military vehicles destroyed. Taliban did not suffer any casualty, the AIP reported.

 

Taliban attacked a convoy of US troops in Deh Yak district of Ghazni province on Wednesday morning (Oct. 11), killing at least five US troops.

 

In a separate incident, two rockets were at puppet troops\' base in Matteen area of Manoogi district of Kunar province.

 

Two puppet soldiers were killed in Deh Rawod district of Uruzgan province.

 

Two separate fidayeen attacks were executed in Khost province today (Oct. 12). The first fidayeen attack was happened in Khost city near district headquarters while the second was carried out at Syedgai Pattak in Mardi Khail area close to Pakistan border. At least 22 US troops were killed in both attacks.
