Dagestani Mujahideen opened fire on a puppet police security post from their armored car driven by two or three fighters in the center of Shamilkala (former Makhachkala), the capital of the Russian-held Caucasian Muslim state of Dagestan, early Wednesday at around 4 a.m. (1200GMT), October 18, 2006, killing at least one proxy "policeman".
After eliminating the Russian stooge (or stooges), the Mujahideen withdrew from the scene without having suffered any casualties accoding to an AP report from Shamilkala citing puppet sources.
The AP and other Western media in the region including Reuters and AFP never cite Mujahideen reports about firefights and present a distorted, one-sided and fully pro-Russian picture of events, thus preventing their readers from receiving trustworthy and reliable news.
The situation with Western reporting about the Russian-Chechen War in much worse than even biased and censored "news" from this media in Afghanistan and Iraq.
Meanwhile, to "compensate" their defeat in Shamilkala in psychological war, the Dagestan's puppets claimed killing 2 Mujahideen in a purported firefight in the area of the village Gamiah and saying nothing about their own losses. The puppets' allegations were not confirmed by any Mujahideen or independent reports from the region.
