14 Americans Terminated in Iraq

In separate communiqu233;s distributed on Wednesday, October 25, 2006, two Mujahideen  groups in Iraq, the Iraq Jihadi Union [Kuta'ab Asa'ab al-Iraq] and the Conquering Army [Jeish al-Fatiheen], accepted responsibility for attacks targeting American forces in the Iraqi cities of Heet and al-Qaim.In an operation on October 24, 2006, the Iraq Jihadi Union states that its Mujahideen detonated an improvised explosive device (IED) on the strategic road on which a convoy of Marines was traveling. The explosion resulted in the death of thirteen of the forces. In al-Qaim, the Conquering Army states that a US soldier who was standing atop a police station building was shot,the Site Institute reported

Meanwhile, the  Al Basrah reported on the operations of Iraqi Mujahideen onTuesday saying nothing about attacks in Hit ans al-Qaim that seem to be unknown to it.
