On Tuesday, October 24, 2006, Mujahideen fighters in Mosul released a statement that was circulated to Mosques and on notice boards pledging allegiance to the newly formed Islamic State Of Iraq. The only group that has not so far joined that we are aware of is Jaish al-Islami however the group has said that it will not stand against it. Fighters also made clear that any who do not abide by the laws of the state will be considered enemies, accoding to reports from Islamic news agencies.
