George Soros, a prominent US banker and philanthropist, was quoted as saying in the Monday issue of Finnish business daily Kauppalehti that the combination of a weak United States and a strong Russia was dangerous.
Mr Soros, a critic of Bush's regime, added that the US had recently lost status in world politics at a faster rate than at any other time in the country\'s history because of the Iraq war and Bush\'s war against Islam.
Russia is one of the countries that has benefited from the development and is striving to regain its superpower status and extending its power far beyond its borders, Mr Soros warns, the STT reported.
