6 US Troops Terminated in Iraq

Two bombs exploded by a US column in the northern Baghdad suburb of at-Taji on Monday. The bombs that had been planted by the side of the strategic road running north from Baghdad went off by a passing American column, completely destroying two Humvees and killing three US troops.  Four more American soldiers were wounded in the blast, the injuries of one of them being described as "mortal."

 

A bomb exploded by a US patrol on the road between Tikrit, about 120km north of Baghdad and, al-‘Azim to the southeast Tuesday afternoon The bomb, which had been planted by the side of the road, went off by a US patrol, completely disabling a Humvee.  At least one of the Americans was killed and two more were wounded.

 

A bomb exploded by a US column near the city of at-Tarimiyah, about 30km north of Baghdad Tuesday afternoon. The bomb that had been planted by the side of the road blew up by a passing American column, directly hitting a US armored vehicle and flipping it over by the side of the road. Witnesses were unsure as to the nature or extent of US casualties, but said that they saw the American troops pulling corpses of US soldiers out of the vehicle after the blast.

 

Iraqi Mujahideen fired six 82mm mortar rounds into the headquarters jointly occupied by US troops and Iraqi puppet forces west of ar-Rayhanah in the ‘Anah area, about 300km northwest of Baghdad, Tuesday afternoon,  setting off explosions inside the building and sending smoke billowing into the sky, the Al Basrah reported.
