At Least 10 Russians, Proxies Slain in Chechnya

Publication time: 24 November 2006, 08:21

According to Radio Liberty, at least 3 Russians and proxies were killed and 7 others were severy wounded in a battle between Mujahideen and Russian invaders in the area of the village of Musol Aul in the Shatoi district of Chechnya on Thursday, November 23, 2006. Earlier, the Russians claimed that only 2 their occupation troops were purportedly wounded in the action.

According to a Russian occupation media news report, a Chechen commander, Bogdan Suleimanov, also martyred (insha Allah) in this battle.

The Russian report is unreliable because the invaders said that Amir Seleimanov had taken part in the Mujahideen attack on November 7, 2006, in the border area between the Shatoi and the Saroi districts. Russians reported  that at least 7 their troops were annihilated in that firefight. The invaders then gave other names of Chechen Commanders that had taken part in the action. Moreover, during the funeral on the 7 dead Russians killed in the attack, a Russian general claimed that all the Mujahideen who took part in the attack were captured.

As of press time, no information about Thursday's firefight was available from the Chechen Military Command.

As usual, Reuters reported nothing about the battle keeping its information blockade of war events in  Chechnya. Instead, Reuters sent a dispatch  with its typical Russian propaganda stuff and lies about "Chechens mass surrendering".

The AP seems digested Wednesday's FSB trick that made the Associated Press loook silly andto report a large-scale military operation that never took place. On Thursday, the AP translated into English and filed  the Russian fantasy about "surrenders"
