As a series that began last month with the Mujahideen “harvest” in Iraq in October
2006 , the Jihad Media Battalion issued on Monday, December 4, 2006, its
November 2006 edition in a one-minute video. Unlike the last that tallied
casualties inflicted by the Islamic State of Iraq upon the enemy, this
compilation features numbers from all the insurgency groups.
From the communiques in which exact losses were written, the Battalion
reports that of the 2,736 enemy deaths, 1,068 were al-Mahdi Army members, 426
were US Crusaders, and the third largest portion are Iraqi police. Mechanism
losses, such as aircraft and vehicles, in addition to spoils and
“non-classified” items are also included.
Prominent events that occurred in November are placed in the news
crawler at the bottom of the video, such as: 807 operations that did not
include the number of losses, destruction of the American F-16 airplane, and
Abu Hamza al-Muhajir, the Emir of al-Qaeda in Iraq, placing 12,000 Mujahideen
at the disposal of Abu Omar al-Baghdadi. The group also mentions British Prime
Minister Tony Blair’s referral to the War in Iraq as a “disaster” as a
acknowledgement the Mujahideen are victorious, the SITE
Institute reported.
