On Friday night, December 8, 2006,
at 8:00 pm, the Mujahideen of the
Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan Taliban ambushed and attacked a US invaders
convoy in the Askar Kot area of the Qarabagh district in the Ghazni province. As the result of the
operation, a US
army tank was destroyed but there were
no details of American casualties.
On Friday afternoon, December 8, 2006,
British troops wanted to enter
the area which was controlled by Mujahideen in the Alizo Karez area near the
administration headquarters of the Nawzad district in the Helmand
province. The Mujahideen of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan Taliban attacked
and killed in a sudden action 5 British
soldiers. The Mujahideen suffered no casualties.
On December 9, 2006, at 12:00
pm, the Mujahideen of the Islamic
Emirate of Afghanistan Taliban attacked a checkpoint of mercenary soldiers on the Kabul- Kandhar
highway near the Mosakhil village in the Nawrak area of the Zabul province. As
the result of the operation, two vehicles were destroyed and a number of
mercenary soldiers including the commander of the checkpoint was killed. Two Mujahideen were also wounded in the
operation.
On December 9, 2006, during the
day, the Mujahideen of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan Taliban attacked a
NATO invaders checkpoint in the Sperwan
area near their base on the Sperwan hill in the Panjwai district of the Kandahar
province. The firefight continued till afternoon. According to eyewitnesses,
the invaders suffered casualties. 4 Mujahideen were also wounded in the action,
the Voice of Jihad reported.
