The text of a video appeal of the leaders of Islamic Dagestan Jama'at "Shariah", who became Shahids during the fighting in Shamilkala, on October, 24, 2005 - was delivered to the address of the editorial office of Kavkaz Center. The videotape recording was made in the center of the capital of Dagestan in a car, on September, 1, 2005. The text of the published appeal is slightly shortened. On receipt the videotape recording will be shown on the "Kavkaz Center" web site.
(The recording is a little erased and begins with the sentence) ... Well brothers ... We address to everyone who came to believe...
Jihad continues in Dagestan... Insha Allah, with the Help of Allah, we are approaching the victory. It can be noticed everyday. Why? It is not because we sit at home, go to mosques, unite in so-called "Muslim Circles" smiling say to each other "As-Salamu aleikum!... Wa aleikum as-Salam!... Alhamdu liLlah!... but and ben ..."
The reason for the fact that the victory belongs to us is the following... Here is daawat (M. Lakhiyalov points AKM), here is daawat of a real man of the present day, Insha Allah.
And these "indoor Muslims"... we address to them now: "That's enough to sit at home! What else do you want?"
First of all we do not need your assistance and your understanding; we do it not because of you, but for the sake of Allah, The Merci of Allah is enough for us. That's all we need!... If you had quickness of wit, you would take guns into your arms and raise the religion of Allah above all! We do not need your assistance in the struggle. But you do keep silence at least, shut your mouths. Fill them with soil. If you pity these kafirs, if you are offended by the fact that we kill them, we can not understand this: "Are they your brothers or something?" If they are your brothers do tell us so that we could distinguish who is kafir, who is hypocrite and who is Muslim!"
How could one call oneself Muslim and yell in all the mosques, at all your so-called gang-planks. Do you know how do yours gang-planks end up? They end up when the officers of PPS arrive and clipping force you into UAZes. Just like it happened in this case at the see coast to that... shii, who came here...

Here is your chatter, what else do you need? They were herded into stinking jugs, driven to the 6th department, kicked there as well, and mocked in all possible ways. It would not have happened if you were armed.
Why can not they do this to us (Mujahideen)? They go out of doors praying: "If only we do not meet Mujahideen from Dagestan Jamaat "Shariah" on our way today!!!". But they do not think of you in this way. Why? Because they shows it by their actions. If they thought in this way, they would not act like this.
There were so many incidents in the city: we are driving, and these kafirs notice us. But they turn away from us. Why? Because they want to live, bustards! A single realization that they may be killed horrifies them and makes them tremble! They are afraid of death like you, probably! If only you were not afraid of death...
Khattab (rahimuLlah) said: "The only reason why a Muslim doesn't wage Jihad is cowardice and nothing more."
It is the cowardice of being killed! It's the cowardice of loosing this mundane life... Your fear, in short... The very fear of yours of these kafirs, would you have even 50% of this fear in front of Allah?
See, brothers, we want to warn you that the fear you have of these kafirs - if somebody is more afraid of them than of Allah - this is shyrk! (infusion of a pal to Allah).
We are not zombies, we are not robots and we have fear as well. Fear is a normal feature that Allah inspired into our hearts just like the feeling of hunger, cold etc. We do not say that we are not afraid of anything. BUT! we are afraid of Allah the most.
We do not know that fear is rendered by shaitans. We realize it. And what do we do? We simply rely on Allah and that is all. And you rely on the merci of kafirs: if only kafirs do not come to your home, if only they do not imprison you. Are you afraid to fall into disgrace of kafirs? SubhanaLlah. These kafirs can not wash their asses when they enter the loo. Think of who you are afraid of!
Allah in Koran says that he promises the Paradise only to MUSLIMS, not to Christians, not to Jews, not to atheists, not to cops, not to kafirs but to MUSLIMS only. He (Allah) says that He will lead them to eternal Jahannam. And you are afraid of these cops, of these scums. Think carefully, you are Muslims or who you are?
We do not want to take a sin upon our souls and to call you names, but in our opinion you have all the features of dissemblers. And thus Allah knows it better! On the Doomsday all of us will appear before Allah. And everyone will pay for one's deeds, for one's words. How would you answer before Allah that we, i.e. Mujahideen, were occupied with wrong actions, that we kill those PPS officers....?! Are they in the city of Shariah or something so that we are not allowed to kill them; are they Muslims? Who will show me any place in Koran where it is written that it is forbidden to kill kafirs? Anybody?
I can say only one thing - those who deny dalil (evidence) of Allah consequently deny Sunna of Muhammad the Prophet!!! A person who does such things is kafir. You can spend days worshiping, knock your head against the floor, keep fasting day and night staying months without food, but if you deny dalil of Allah, you deny Sunna of the Prophet, and Muhammad the Prophet fought! He waged Jihad on the path of Allah!... Those who deny it are kafirs! And now think carefully of who you are?!
I repeat once again that neither Jihad, nor Mujahideen, moreover, nor Allah needs you! We appeal to you not because we ask you to join us (come out on Jihad), no! We are just SORRY for you!Wallahi, we are sorry for you! We do not need you and have never done, and even more Allah has never needed you, whether you come out on Jihad or not! Allah will replace you by other people, Insha Allah! But you will answer for this on the Doomsday! We are simply warning you.
Think it over! We (i.e. Mujahideen) are ashamed for such so-called Muslims... We used to live such "legal" life also some years ago; we used to go to these mosques also... Did you see how many Muslims there are now? I don't take into consideration these local munafikun (hypocrites), Sufis, tarikat-persons, murids. I am speaking of those who consider themselves to be SUNNA JAMAAT! In mosques they embrace, kiss, go to mosques and spend hours there discussing various topics! One can constantly hear words "Alhamdu liLlah", "Insha Allah", "How are things?" and that's it, it doesn't go beyond conversations! You smile to each other...
Where are you? Where are you now? How many times did it happen when we spoke with those our brothers Muslims, who before Jihad cried "JIHAD!", "ALLAHU AKBAR!"? Having heard that our brothers in Chechnya blew these kafirs into the air, they jumped over their heads crying "ALLAHU AKBAR!", didn't bend their finger for days. But if it comes to doing it themselves, they start to invent thousands of reasons (if only not to go out on Jihad), SubhanaLlah, even start saying, what about our WIVES AND KIDS.
Your wives will not stay young till the end of their lives as well, they will also go old, turn into old women! Will you then cling to them as well? What do you change mundane life to? Do you change it to Allah's promise to Shahids to wash away our sins with the first drop of blood, Insha Allah? To the fact that He will lead us to the gardens of Jannatul-Firdaus, Insha Allah? To the fact that He will give us the right of intercession for 70 our relatives on the Doomsday (of course, providing that they are Muslims), Insha Allah? Do you change this all to this mundane life? To these stinking taxi-buses (M. Lakhiyalov points with his finger taxi-buses that pass by)? To these PPS officers? To these wretched pusses?!...
... And you even manage to condemn us! Be afraid of Allah! You don't have to be afraid of us, you must be afraid of Allah! We do have specific persons, specific names though...
... They condemn us. I repeat that you will answer for this on the Doomsday! And of Allah's will, if we meet you on our way, according to the laws of the period of war and according to Shariat, you will also answer before us for your deeds and your words! We warn you! It is enough to chatter... That's it... you have already made a mess... stop digging spoons in it.
You invent new dalils (evidence)! You invent new hadithes. Everything has already been done before us! I repeat once again - here is daawat of the present day (M. Lakhiyalov takes into his hands AKM that lies beside him). Here it is!
(At this moment Yasin Rasulov who is sitting in the passenger compartment near Murad Lakhiyalov pronounces "ALLAHU AKBAR!")
Kafirs occupied our territory, they violate us. Has not it already touched you...? They chaise, take away, throw grenade under our brothers, who are in Jamaat, our sisters, our wives! Alhamdu liLlah, here (i.e. in Dagestan) it has not reached the stage of Chechnya, where these DIRTY DOGS rape our sisters, and these are our sisters as well, these are our Muslim sisters, they are closer to us than our sisters by birth! Is it not enough for you? Is it not enough of you that you can not even go to mosque in order to make Muhammadan prayer in the morning, because they push you into UAZ as if you were radish and take you away?!
What else should kafirs do to you to make you take weapon into your arms? What do tell us? They do everything to you, though...
In Jammat "Shariat", Alhamdu liLlah, there is no Mujahid who come out on Jihad only because kafirs humiliated him personally or some kafir offended him! There is none among us... All of us came out on Jihad only because Allah orders us to do so!
We also have families, we also have mothers, wives, children, we did not come from children's home either... But we believed in what Allah told, and there is no reason to leave Jihad.
At the present moment Jihad in Dagestan is farz-ul-‘ain (direct responsibility of every Muslim)! According to all four mazhabs (Islamic schools) in case kafir occupies Muslim territory, establishes laws of kufr there, even if there are laws of Shariah there and the laws of kufr function equally, Jihad becomes farz-ul-‘ain any way! And when Jihad is farz-ul-‘ain then the responsibility lies on every Muslim! This entire Muslim community will answer before Allah on the Doomsday, except for those who wage this Jihad! All, Insha Allah!
Then wage Jihad like men...
You walk in the streets and are afraid of meeting these kafirs, and we are driving along the streets and have a problem, as we can not meet these kafirs (M. Lakhiyalov is saying these words and is pointing around with his hand from the passenger compartment). Where are these kafirs? Show them to us! That is how the days go by in here... We drive out in the morning and ride all day long round the city looking for kafirs. Presently we drove out not only to make this recording for you, we have been riding round the city for 3 hours now...
Here is our "potato" (M. Lakhiyalov is showing a sack that lies beside him in the passenger compartment) that tears kafirs to pieces! Here is our weapon, we all have it (M. Lakhiyalov is showing Kalashnikov submachine gun which is hanging on his neck, and is showing one more AKM which is lying beside him), here is our weapon, take a look at it if you think that we drove out for a ride, no! We do not part with the weapon! We went out to wage Jihad! And you walk and are afraid to meet these kafirs, if only they did not come to your home etc...
(The operator is directing the camera at Yasin Rasulov. Rasulov is showing his weapon AKM from under his jacket saying "ALLAHU AKBAR" with a smile on his face!)
Here is our ideological leader (M. Lakhiyalov is pointing Yasin Rasulov) who strangles these kafirs, turns them inside out, kills these kafirs (Yasin Rasulov is smiling at this and says: "Muhammad the Prophet is our leader, we do not have any other leaders!")
Our Amir Rasul Makasharipov became Shahid, Insha Allah!.. Many people think that we lost heart, but they are wrong! We do Jihad not for the sake of Makasharipov, not for the sake of anybody else, but for the sake of Allah!
For the sake of the lot which He (Allah) showed much favor to our Amir with, all of us want it, that is what we came out for. What we want is such an end of the war so that we could die like men! If only we could annihilate them all! Jihad in Dagestan did not stop! Alhamdu lilLah, more and more day after day! Alhamdu lilLah, thank Allah for His merci that He did a great favor to us with Jihad, for His merci for us!
This is not our own desert that we do Jihad; this is the Merci of Allah who made us Mujahideen, gave us an opportunity to get closer to Him by own deeds and to appear in Jannatul-Firdaus (the highest level of Paradise), Insha Allah! Allah chose Muslims from all people and from all Muslim chose Mujahideen, and from all Mujahideen He chose Shahids. Is it enough for you?
Simply stop being afraid of kafirs, be afraid of Allah! On the Doomsday you will not answer before kafirs, you will answer before Allah! See, kafirs hide among peaceful inhabitants (M. Lakhiyalov is pointing the police officers who is hiding behind peaceful inhabitants).
(Murad Lakhiyalov, Shahid, Insha Allah, tell Yasin Rasulov then): "Brother, say something..." YASIN RASULOV(Shahid, Insha Allah) starts the conversation. The Most High Allah said:
Indeed! God has bought from the believers their lives and their wealth, that they shall have the Gardens, they fight in God's cause, kill and are killed, this is a true pledge from God made in Torah, the Injeel and in the Qur'an, and who is more true in fulfilling His Covenant than God. So rejoice in the bargain you have made with Him, this is the greatest success (9:111)
That is why let those who think that they are believers or call themselves Muslims arrange a deal with Allah, conclude a treaty with Him and be faithful to Him.
And let everybody know that The Most High told:
O you who believe! What is amiss with you, that when it is said to you, "March forth in the cause of God", you cleave excessively to the earth, are you contented with the life of this world, compared to the Hereafter, is but little.
If you do not march forth, God will chastise you with a painful chastisement and will substitute you by another people, and you will not do God any harm, God has power over all things.(9:38-39)
.... Concerning this ayah commentators say that the punishment in this life is that kafirs will humiliate them (i.e. Muslims) and rule them. And the punishment in the future life is that Allah will plunge them to Hell.
Think of what is waiting for you? You consider yourselves to be Muslims, you pray, you fast, but this all is in vain, because the responsibility lies upon you (Muslims). And you can not get away from it, it's just like prayer, like fast! Open any book by any author and he will tell you: "When kafirs invade the territory of Muslims, Jihad becomes farz-ul-‘ain"!
If your wives go out without your permission they will be cursed by angels till they return home (according to authentic hadith). And when Jihad is farz-ul-‘ain your wives can go out without asking you whether they are allowed to come out on Jihad or not! You are nobody in here any more, because Allah charges with responsibilities in here now! That's it as for women.
And now think about yourselves, if you are men, after all! You walk round the city, and kafirs intruded into our city, threw down the laws of Shariah and established their laws, and you live under this authority calling yourselves Muslims...
And if you say that you are weak, there is another aiyat as regards this. As soon as angels bring death to those who were unjust for themselves (here those who went under the rule of kufra are meant), the angels will ask them: "Why did you live like this? Why were you in such state (i.e. under the rule of kufra)"? and they will answer: "We were weak". This means that the answer is that we are weak. The angel will tell them: "Wasn't the land of Allah waste?"
We walk on this land, it is waste, we can go to the forest, we can go to the mountains, we can rent any apartments, houses and live there following the rules of Shariah, nobody disturbs us, we fight against kafirs!
What we need is to go out of this system, to come out of the rule of kufr and to be free, that's all! The land of Allah is waste, you don't even have to leave. In the very Makhachkala, in the very cities, in the very republic, anywhere you can find a place, some land, where you can be and live according to the law of Shariah, and to wage JIHAD!
And what is waiting for these Muslims (who refuse Jihad)? Allah says: "Infernal Jahannam will be their refuge".
This ayah was granted as regards to Muslims who were in Mecca and did not make hijra (migration), and then kafirs forced them to fight against them and Muslims killed them along with kafirs. Thus they would go to Infernal Jahannam along with kafirs.
They had the same grounds: "We are weak, we can not...". This is why this aiyat concerns all those who live under kufr and say that they are weak.
Go out on Jihad! Allah is Powerful! And do not say that there are a lot of us Muslims, as once Muslims said that there were a lot of them (this was in the time of Khunein). There were 12000 of them and they said: "There are a lot of us". And because of these words Allah made kafirs win even over this large number, 12000 started to run away from kafirs. On the battlefield there were only 80 people left headed by the Prophet, ansars and muhajiruun, who turned the course of the battle and won.
80 people could make what 12000 people could not. Remember the time when 3000 Muslims fought against 200 000 of Byzantines. Where is the number? Allah is with us, that is the most important matter.
The power that we have is bestowed by ALLAH! Allah can change the thinking of kafirs. He (ALLAH) can turn everything back. You should not be afraid of anybody, you should go out and wage Jihad! If Allah says that it is farz-ul-‘ain, if He charges us with these things, it is 100 % true that we can endure it, that we can do it!
Everything is very simple (Yasin Rasulov takes AKM and continues): "Here is a gun, take it and go out, can you see explosive assembly? Wage! Make! Wage Jihad on the Path of Allah, nobody interferes with you!
If you are afraid of death it will come to you too soon. It will come to you when Allah prescribed it to you. We walk here but we do not die! It is not because we are special, but because our time has not come yet. Since you went out on Jihad, took the weapon and plunged into the battle it doesn't mean that you hastened your term or postponed it! If you think in this way it will bring violation to your believes. The death will come when it is prescribed to. Altogether everything that happens, even a leaf falling down from a tree, is of Allah's Will! Thus go out on Jihad at least in order to feel fully your faith and your love for Allah!
While you live under the rule of kufr, while you have the lot of those who discuss the deeds of others you will not understand who you are - munafikuun or Muslims. Think about this! As long as you sit and do nothing you have the features of these hypocrites!
Because one of the features of hypocrites is to sit and to observe what is happening.
In Koran it is said about hypocrites: "They would prefer to stay away from you and ask you about the news"
Thus you sit and watch TV, watch the news, news editions: ORT, RTR, NTV about what is going on with us, who did we kill or who of us were killed, how we keep our agreement with Allah, Insha Allah! You watch, you observe and think that you live on a different planet, do not you? Or that The Doomsday is meant for us only, is not it? It is meant for you as well! And we say this not for the reason that we need you much, maybe you will join us and the things will go worse, i.e. it is said in Koran that "If they were among you they would bring distemper and weakness to you", we just inform you and that's all! We just exonerate the responsibility and on the Doomsday we will say that we informed you! And we do not need you for any other reason, we are fighting and Jihad has been in Dagestan for 3 years now, Alhamdu liLlah! If you think that it is few, not much, but there are few of us and Alhamdu liLlah, due to permission of Allah, we do not feel this military machine of Russia.
Yes, they kill us... But this is a war and Allah did not promise us that we will be alive (killed on the path of Allah). He said that you will kill and they will kill you! And after all the death on the path of Allah is the HIGHEST! Those of us who were killed are in the Paradise now; those of them who were killed are in Hell, Insha Allah!
Allah prepared 100 steps for Mujahideen in the Paradise, only for Mujahideen there are 100 steps. And the distance from one step to another is equal to the one from the earth to the sky! It is only for Mujahideen. The Shahids will join the Prophets! SubhanaLlah what do you want on the earth, how much do you want to live here, how much do you want to acquire and preserve in here?
Allah says in the Holy Qur'an:
Say, "if you r fathers, your sons, your brethren, your spouses, your near of kin, and wealth you have gained, and trade which you fear may decline, and homes and please you, are more beloved to you than God and His Messenger, and striving in His cause, than wait until God passes Judgment upon you, and God does not guide the wicked". (9:24)
The words wait till Allah comes with his order mean wait for the punishment of Allah, and you'll see that it will be imposed on you, if do not go out on Jihad! This penalty has already been imposed on you since you live under kufr, you have no guarantee, no security, every time "cops" can approach you and do anything they want to your wives and children: if they want they can "lose" them, if they want they can assault them and you as well. And you will be able to do nothing about it. Here is a punishment for you, not speaking about the future punishment.
Go out on the Path of Allah. SubhanaLlah, how long can you sit, you are not homebodies, you are men! Clarify who you are indeed! There is no need to find some imaginary dalils (evidence) to justify yourselves, you should just say honestly: "WE ARE COWARDS!!! WE ARE COWARDS!!!" , and we do not want to do anything.
And leave Koran and Sunna in peace! And if so-called "alims" who studied somewhere, came from some place in Syria etc criticize us then you are not alims for us at all; and we do not take you to be Muslims at all for your love for Tagut! If you do not stop this propaganda against us and do not stop pushing the youth away from us, we will leave cops and take you up. Are you going to criticize us in order to defend yourselves from cops? Just find the courage to confess in you cowardice and sit at home like homebodies, and shut your mouths!
I want to say to the rest of our brothers who want to enter the path of Jihad - do not be afraid of anything. Go out on the path of Allah, Bismillahi Allahu Akbar! Do anything you can to this system! There are a lot of kafirs, but Allah is with us! Don't be afraid of anybody!
Allah said: "You afraid of them: are you really afraid of them? You should be afraid of Allah and not of humans!"
In another aiyat it is said: "Have you seen those who were prescribed to fight, and they said: Oh, Allah, why did not you prescrib this later?"
Today those who say it is not the time yet do the same. Allah says about them: "They are afraid of humans like of Allah or even more"
It must be admitted that this is the end! And nobody can cancel what Allah prescribed. Allah prescribed the struggle against kafirs! Allah orders us to fight, and all of us went out on this path consciously, with the faith in Allah.
If one has believed in the Book (Koran), then one should not believe in a part of it and reject another, as Jews and Christians do. One should believe in it completely, one should not say - this is for now, this is for later, and this is after it.
That's all! Allah finished this religion; one should take it totally and go out on the path of Allah.
Allahu Akbar!

Commentary
Thank Allah, the Lord of the worlds, peace and benediction to the Messenger of Allah, to his associates and those who followed him in Jihad till the Doomsday!
October, 24 2005 in Shamilkala (former Makhachkala) an unreal battle against numerous forces of kafirs and munafiks took place, and Mujahideen of Jamaat "Shariah" Hadjimurad Ismailov, Murad Lahiyalov and Yasin Rasulov became Shahids. Let Allah receive their Gazavat. Insha Allah, they became Shahids in the month of Ramadan!
Allah says in the Holy Qur'an:
They ask you about fighting in the inviolable month, say, "Fighting in it is a grievous sin, but in the Sight of God it is more grievous to hinder people from the way of God, to disbelieve in Him, to violate the Sacred Mosque, and to expel the dwellers from it. Persecution and oppression of believers is graver than killing". And they will continue fighting you until they turn you away from your Religion if they can. But whoever of you renounces his Religion and dies a renegade their deeds are fruitless both in this world and in the Hereafter. And they shall be the dwellers of the Fire, to abide in it for ever. (2:217)
Our brothers kept their word to Allah till the very end! Allahu Akbar! They lived for the sake of Allah and they died in the name of Allah!
In his last video appeal to Muslims of Dagestan Murad Lakhiyalov and Yasin Rasulov were calling upon to go out on Jihad for the sake of Allah, to conclude a treaty with Him and to keep the word till the very end! Kafirs were afraid of them and hated them.
So called "minister" of the Ministry of Internal Affairs Khamilgerey was in charge with the storm of inhabited five-stored house in which Mujahideen were located. Hundreds of skunk kafirs surrounded the building with dense ring and offered to Mujahideen to surrender. They received machine-gun fire as a response.
The storm began after evening azan during iftar. Kafirs shooting from large-calibre machine-guns from BTR, firing from grenade cup discharges and flame throwers burnt down several flats. The fight lasted whole night long till 4 am. The witnesses speak of persistence and courage of Mojahiteen, who led unequal fight till the end.
Murad Lakhiyalov was 29. His life was short, but he managed to do a lot. He was a Muslim who had a strong body and spirit. Daghestans knew him as a brother of a famous football player Shamil Lakhiyalov. He could have had comfortable life in the mundane fuss, but he chose to live in Jihad for the sake of Allah. He managed to go out of kafirs' encirclement several times, he was wounded. The aim of his Jihad was to establish Shariah on the land of Muslims in Dagestan. Let Allah accept his Gazavat.
Khadjimurad Ismailov was 39. He was a good Muslim who helped Murad Lakhiyalov and Yasin Rasulov on the Path of Allah. He combated till he gave up the ghost, kafirs found his body at a flight of steps form which he and Murad poured lead on them changing positions. He succeeded indeed and a great reward from Allah is waiting for him!
Yasin Rasulov was 30. He was a notable Islamic scientist, expert on the Arabic language and Shariat. He was a member of the Presidium of Muslim Journalists' Union, a post-graduate student at the chair of the Religion studies of Dagestan State University, he did a thesis on mazhabs in Islam. He is the author of Islamic rubric in a newspaper the "New Business", an author of the translation of a book by Yusuf Karadavi "Modern fetwas". He had two higher educations, graduated from Islamic university and Dagestan State University (faculty of foreign languages: Arabic and French).
He was talented and thoroughly educated person, who led the life as a preacher of Islam for many years. Being honest and just he lived very decently having dedicated his live to Islam. Those who knew Yasin would say that he had nothing but for a mattress on the floor, prayer rug and computer. He was not interested in mundane welfare that is why he went out on the path of Jihad without any hesitation, as he saw injustice and oppression of Muslims, saw the prohibition of daawat (appeal) in the guise of the fight against "wahhabism".
He was not physically strong; he had never held a gun in his hands, had never served in the army, this notwithstanding he joined militant Jamaat "Shariah" and became Shahid (Insha Allah)!
Kafirs and munafiks from the so-called "clergy" were afraid of him as of ideologist, expert on Islamic sciences, as Muslim who had authority of alim with youth.
After his revelatory articles which dealt with why they kill police officers he had a conversation with "minister" of the Ministry of Internal Affairs Khamilgerej who was personally acquainted with him.
