Some days prior to the international day of AIDS, Gambian authorities have subjected to persecutions of numerous prostitutes though the level of prostitution in this Muslim country remains dreadfully high. The industry of tourism promotes that the government gives out licenses to prostitutes and they are flown down in the regions visited by tourists.
They pay taxes and quite officially are engaged in the craft, and this is in the country, where century of introduction of Shariah Court was magnificently marked recently! However, before the mentioned day Gambian policemen have received the order to finish with prostitutes in hotels and brothels of large cities. During operation in Banjul (capital, number of inhabitants about 35 thousand person) for example, 80 prostitutes, from them 31 citizens of Gambia have been caught. All of them were arrested and placed in prison.
According to messages of local press, among the arrested prostitutes were the citizens of Senegal, Guinea Bissau and Sierra Leone. Prostitutes or as they are named officially in Gambia "commercial sexual workers", have been arrested for some hours up to an output on a craft.
All has been made so that the international observers have thought, that authorities of Gambia have begun struggle against prostitution. However, actually it was an ordinary farce, and badly planned. So, it was originally declared, that foreign prostitutes will be sent from the country, but a little bit later Gambian officer Lamin Djatta has directly declared: Any of the arrested women has not been sent from the country. Policy has let out them on the security.
In Gambia of the population of 95 % formally it is considered Muslim. Some conscious imams in the sermons call believers to struggle with this harm. Sometimes there are attacks on brothels as recent events in Bricama, but as a whole on the country conditions remains to the extremely adverse. The president of Gambia is the vile dictator, the enemy of Allah, Yaya Jammeh, who has come to power as a result of revolt. He has transformed the budget of the country into his own pocket and continues to plunder people, spreading a cult of personality. He has actually sold all national economy to USA and to China. Yaya Jammeh is very abnormal, perverted and eccentric dictator. His hobby is the folk medicine and last week it officially, at the international level, has declared that he was possible to treat successfully and finally 12 person, ill by AIDS. It already has caused many sneers, but bloody monster Jammeh forces citizens of Gambia to admire with his wisdom and great invention in the medicine.
Root of all problems of Gambia is in the horrifying ignorance of the population in questions of Islam which here is mixed with set of pagan rites and traditions, some of them bear in themselves a germ frank of Satanism. For many Gambians Islam is no more than tradition. And even in such way elements of shyrk are practiced. For example, transformation of imams into idols takes place in Gambia. To the house of the imam in Gambia person reach having removed footwear for 2 kilometers from his house, on a court yard move ahead on all fours. On the Qur'an they places portraits of the imam up to that such mini portraits are on each page.
