According to the information reported to KC by a representative of the Staff of the North-East Front of the Armed Forces of the Chechen Republic of Ichkeria (AF of CRI) being commanded by Amir Tahir, on the 3 March morning a mobile squad of the Islamic fighters attacked a column of the enemy special forces that was moving towards the Kobi village, aming at the next punitive cleaning.
According to information of the source, the column consisted of several UAZ motorcars and one armoured carrier of escort. The Mujaheeds blasted these and then attacked the enemy using automatic and machine guns.
In result of this attack the armoured carrier was damaged, while the UAZ car together with its crew was eliminated. Totally 6 servicemen of special forces from the enemy internal troops were killed. Several servicmen of the occupation squad were injured - 2-5 ones supposedly. After successful completion of this military operation Mujaheeds returned to their base without any losses.
We should remind that before the Russian side had reported on an armoured carrier of combat engineer troops blasted allegedly and 2 occupants injured all in all.
Meanwhile the representative of the Northeast Front reports referring to Tahir, Commander, that significant inflow of young men willing to fight against the enemy in observed among Mujaheeds the last months. The young men apply to the Command of AF of CRI with request on admitting to rows of Mujaheeds.
The Chechen leadership has registered a splash of such inflow of young men since 2006. Furthermore such requests has become more intensive for the first months of this year. The Chechen Command is standing currently before a real problem of supplying the young Mujaheeds with arms and ammunition.
