Killing And Injuring More Than Twenty Russian Soldiers On The Road Of Death (Serzhen-Yurt)

Publication time: 23 March 2007, 18:44

At least twenty Russian soldiers were killed and injured in a successful ambush that was carried out by the group of Commander "Khairallah" on the main road between Vedeno and Serzhen-Yurt against Russian convoy consisting of ten vehicles (including Mines' Sweeper) that was heading towards Vedeno.

The ambush began to trap detonated explosives under the vehicles and the subsequent heavy barrage of RPG shells and machine guns which continued for nearly half an hour then the group withdrew to safety without injuries. Thanks to God. Special Mujahideen sources indicated that eight Russians were killed and fifteen wounded.

It is worth mentioning that the main road Serzhen-Yurt witnessed this type of great ambushes that were carried out by Mujahideen against the Russians since the first war until now, and he was the first one who carried out an ambush on this road, Commander "Khattab", May Almighty God mercy his soul and that was during the first Chechen war.
