Massive rally in Pakistan

Publication time: 16 April 2007, 11:21

About 100,000 people rallied in Pakistan's largest city Sunday vying for moderate Islam. The mass protest in Karachi was organized by the Mutahida Qami Movement, or MQM, a party based in the southern port city that strongly supports hypocritical leader Pervez Musharraf.

The Lal Masjid, or Red Mosque, in the capital Islamabad announced last week the setting up of a court to deliver justice based on Sharia, or Islamic law. Students from an Islamic school attached to the mosque have started an anti-vice campaign in Islamabad, threatening proprietors of music shops and brothels in the Pakistani capital.

The mosque's chief cleric, Maulana Abdul Aziz, is a critic of Pakistan's support of the U.S.-led war on terror, which is actually war on Islam. His thousands of male students are often at the forefront of anti-government and anti-U.S. rallies in Islamabad.

The venue of the rally was the vast expanse of M.A. Jinnah Road from the Square of the Quaid's Mausoleum to the Tibet Centre pedestrian bridge, jampacked by people who had come from all parts of the city and the interior of Sindh.

The majority of the people gathered in the rally were so-called liberal Muslims, who have come under the influence of western media, culture and hypocrisy. The support for Mr. Musharraf,  the puppet of Bush, shows how he has politically, socially and mentally influenced the innocent Muslims, and brought humiliation to the Muslims in Pakistan.

The so-called ulemas who gathered in the rally were either innovated sects, or shias, who have no respect to follow the Sunnah of Prophet Muhammed (sallallahu alaihi wa sallam).  These bidah followers, should not even be allowed to speak in the name of Islam.

These groups are the ones who enjoy american, western hegemony and call for devilish ideologies of democracy and liberalism. Neglecting the call for Shariah, is a direct opposition to the Laws and Order of Allah, The Creator, The Sustainer, The Lord of The Heavens and The Earth.

The people of Pakistan should stand for the sake of Allah alone and none other. The fiqh of Tawheed, the realization of following the Sunnah should be put into practice. Support for kuffar regimes will not earn Jannah. The Quran and Sunnah, can only guide the Muslims in Pakistan and rest of the world.
