A number of Palestinians and foreign sympathizers were wounded on Friday afternoon when IOF troops used force to quill a peaceful demonstration against the apartheid wall near the village Bilin to the west of the southern West Bank city of Ramallah.
Eyewitnesses said that IOF soldiers fired teargas canisters, rubber coated bullets and stun grenades towards the demonstrators causing a number of casualties.
Some demonstrators were manhandled, beaten and dragged on the ground.
The demonstrators who have been holding weekly demonstrations carried placards calling for the demolition of the racist wall which, in the village of Bilin, is separating the local villagers from their agricultural land which, in most cases, is the sole source of income.
The IOF has always used violent means to quell these peaceful demonstrations, but today, more IOF troops deployed and the quelling of the demonstration was more violent.
