World silent over zionist crimes

Publication time: 24 April 2007, 12:27

Sheikh Tayseer Al-Tamimi, chief Islamic judge of Palestine, has denounced the world silence towards the zionists streak of murder in the West Bank and Gaza.

Tamimi charged in a press statement that ignoring the terror regime's crimes on the part of the world community constituted another crime against the Palestinian people.

The chief judge appealed to the world governments and all peace-loving people to take urgent and immediate action to stop the occupants' repeated terror attacks on the Palestinians.

"Israel, by such crimes, seeks to break the will of the Palestinian people, to create new reality on the ground, and impose its conditions on the Palestinians," but such crimes "always strengthen the steadfastness of the Palestinian people," Tamimi emphasized.

He warned that Israel was dragging the region to a devastating war, which no one can predict the results of.

For his part, Sheikh Mohamed Hussein, the Mufti of Jerusalem and Palestine, strongly condemned the international silence vis-à-vis the escalating zionist's aggression on the Palestinian people, which resulted lately in killing nine innocent children, wounding and arresting dozens.

The international silence "encourages the terrorists of zionist regime to commit further attacks and killings against the Palestinian people," the Mufti warned.

Sheikh Hussein called on Arabs, Muslims and peace loving people to assume their role in protecting the Palestinian people and to act to stop the attacks and violations which are contrary to the international conventions and treaties.
