Truce ends with zionist regime

Publication time: 25 April 2007, 09:46

The armed wing of Hamas Movement, the Qassam Brigades (QB), has unleashed 100 homemade Qassam missiles at zionist troops' positions and Israeli settlements adjacent to Gaza Strip within two hours before daybreak Tuesday, affirming its readiness to block any invasion.

The intense missile attacks were apparently made in retaliation to the zionist terrorists' incessant massacres against the Palestinian people in the West Bank and Gaza Strip that reaped tens of Palestinian lives over the past few weeks. Abu Obaida, the spokesman of the QB, affirmed in a statement he made and published on the group's website that his group wanted to send a clear message to the occupants' troops that any attempt to invade the Strip would cost them a "very high price".

"The invaders will be buried in the Strip if they attempted to invade it", he added. He also affirmed that the QB still has a lot of surprises in its sack, and that the 100 rockets were only "a prelude to more surprises and more effective deterrents".

He also affirmed that the zionist terrorists are to be blamed for the new cycle of violence in the region as they never respected the truce that was given by the Palestinian resistance factions, and persisted in killing Palestinian civilians on daily basis.

"The troops have killed the truce that we gave as a gesture of goodwill although we never trusted our enemy. The world must blame the Israeli occupation government for breaching and undermining the calm", the spokesman further asserted.

Homemade Qassam missiles and 80mm mortar shells were used in shelling the zionist positions east and south of Gaza Strip, including Kerem Shalom crossing point among other positions, Abu Obaida, furthermore, revealed. He also confirmed that a number of Israeli colonies, including Nahal Oz and Netiv Ha`asara among other Israeli colonies, and copters' airstrips in northern Gaza Strip were also rattled with tens of Qassam rockets.

Finally, Abu Obaida underlined, "It is tit-for-tat as they (Israelis) must suffer the same suffering they inflict on the Palestinian people on daily basis". The group had earlier urged Palestinian resistance factions to consolidate ranks and to gear up for the next round of confrontations with the "Zionist enemy", affirming that it will painfully hit back at the occupants' troops in reprisal to the carnage in the West Bank.

On Monday, Israel warned Palestinian residents in Gaza Strip that they would face full-scale invasion if Palestinian missiles continued falling on their positions and Israeli settlements. Other Palestinian resistance armed wings, including the Quds Brigades of the Islamic Jihad, and the Aqsa Martyrs Brigades of Fatah faction, took the credit for shelling the zionist terrorists positions at Sofa crossing point, and the settlements of Sderot and Yad Mordechai respectively.

In the West Bank town of Kabatia, south of Jenin, Palestinian resistance fighters from the PRC and the Islamic Jihad destroyed a zionist occupant vehicle during fierce armed clashes with large numbers of their troops raiding the town.
