zionist terror regime confiscates 400 dunums of Jenin lands to amend path of separation wall

Publication time: 1 May 2007, 12:27

The Israeli occupation authority has confiscated 400 dunums of Palestinian lands in the Jenin district in order to amend the path of the separation wall meandering through the West Bank.

Abdullah Barakat, coordinator of the national anti-wall committee, said in a statement on Monday that citizens in six villages in Jenin district received notifications from Israel's so-called civil administration authority that 400 dunums (one dunum = 1,000 square meters) of their lands would be confiscated for the sake of the racist, separation wall.

He added that officers of that authority asked for a meeting with the concerned citizens, a matter that was refused by those citizens and the committee.

Barakat denounced the IOA military orders, which, he said, only aimed at stealing more civilian lands and making their life difficult with all means possible.
