Hamas urges Arabs to boycott Zionist regime

Publication time: 14 May 2007, 05:43

Hamas has urged on Sunday, Arab and Muslim countries to stand up in defense of the occupied city of Jerusalem and its Muslim holy shrines, and to boycott the zionist terror regime diplomatically over its incessant crimes in the holy city.

Spokesman of the Movement in the West Bank, in this regard, highlighted the importance of formulating united strategies and action plans by the Arab and the Muslim worlds in a bid to shield the city against the Zio-American threats that aim at circumventing legal right of the Palestinian Muslim brothers and sisters and aborting their just cause.

In a press statement it issued pertaining to the matter and a copy of which was obtained by the PIC, Hamas described the latest developments in the city, including the zionist terrorists' intention of building 20,000 housing units in the eastern part of the city among other unwarranted practices as "serious escalation" that must be blocked.

The construction plan, the Movement asserted, is per se serves as clear evidence that Israel was and still is undermining the tremendous efforts exerted in the region with the aim to achieve lasting peace and stability.

A couple of days ago, Hebrew media sources unveiled that the occupied regime's government was preparing to construct thousands of housing units in the heart of Jerusalem that would geographically connect Israeli settlement complexes of Ma'aleh Adomim and Etzion at the expense of destroying and confiscating Palestinian homes and lands in the occupied city.
