Innocent Palestinians kidnapped by Zionist occupants

Publication time: 11 June 2007, 17:15

A pre-dawn incursion by zionist occupants into the largest West Bank city of Nablus ended Monday morning with the arrest of six citizens from the city itself and the nearby Asker refugee camp.

Local sources said that occupying troops mounting armored vehicles stormed the city's Old Town and a number of suburbs in addition to the refugee camp before leaving with the six Palestinian youths.

The Hebrew radio quoted a invader's spokesman as saying that his troops kidnapped 21 Palestinians overnight and at dawn Monday in the West Bank.

The spokesman said that the detainees were arrested on suspicion of affiliation with the Hamas and Islamic Jihad Movements in addition to the AMB, the armed wing of Fatah.

He said that his forces came under fire in Nablus but no casualties were sustained, adding that the detainees were rounded up in Nablus, Qalqilia, Bethlehem, Al-Khalil and occupied Jerusalem.

For its part, the Qassam Brigades, the armed wing of Hamas Movement, declared responsibility for firing three mortar shells at dawn Monday at an zionist outpost east of Breij refugee camp in the Gaza Strip.

The Quds Brigades, the armed wing of the Islamic Jihad Movement, also took the credit for firing two Quds missiles at Sderot settlement in the Palestinian lands occupied in 1948.

Both armed wings said that the firing of those locally made rockets were in retaliation to zionist terrorists crimes.
