Without a doubt, there is a lot to say about this youthful Jihad in regards to the events, the fruits, the lessons, and the road ahead. As the war on Islam intensifies the world saw the United States Special Forces team up with the Ethiopian Government in trying to root out the slaves of Allah Ta'ala from His earth; men who devoted their lives to their Rabb in both personal and public life. These worshipers of the One true Lord were only attacked because they stood up to the godless world order of Gog and Magog and said, "Our Lord is Allah."
And We made firm their hearts when they stood forth and said: "Our Lord is the Lord of the heavens and the earth! We cry unto no other form of obedience and worship (i.e., Ilaah) except Him, (and) if we did, we should indeed have uttered an enormity!" (Al-Kahf: 14)
They patiently held their ground whilst believing in the promise of their Lord, through the quietness of the night and activeness of the day, hoping and praying for Shahaada for His sake.
Of the believers are men who are true to the covenant which they made with Allah: some of them is he who accomplished his vow (i.e., martyrdom), and of them is he who still waits, and they have not changed (their determination) in the least. (Al-Ahzab: 23)
They wished to meet Allah as martyrs, and from the grace of Allah, He fulfilled their pure wishes. Allah ‘Azza wa Jall didn't only bless them with that, but He did something else from within His Grand plans which healed the breasts of those who believe. He Ta'ala exposed the Crusader war in its most clearest of forms in order to show to those who believe that (as if to say) "there should be no doubt after this that you are fighting those who only fight you because of your Noble Religion of Truth".
When it is said to them: "Make not mischief on the earth," they say: "What?! We only want to make peace!" (Al-Baqarah: 11)
In this Jihad was a confirmation to the hearts of the believers and a tranquility which poured upon their souls from the heavens. They were pleased to see that they were on the Haqq all along. They were an emerging Islamic State from a part of the world that the people neglected. However, when the Crusaders saw the followers of Islam follow their blessed Prophet (sallallahu ‘alayhi Wasallam), they bit their tongue out of extreme hatred for the prevalence of truth and justice.
...they do not fall short of inflicting corruption upon all of you; they love what distresses you; vehement hatred has already appeared from out of their mouths, and what their breasts conceal is even greater; indeed, We have made the miraculous signs clear to you, only if you will understand. (al-'Imraan: 118)
So they tried to find an excuse from their book of excuses to invade the worshipers of Allah. They decided to use the same trick that they used against the pious slaves of Allah in Afghanistan by claiming that there are "terrorists" hiding in Somalia. But just as Allah exposed the Crusader intention in Afghanistan, He exposed it in Somalia.
Verily, if it was another nation that was a nation of Kuffar, the process in capturing the "terrorists" would have been extremely different. Instead the plan of Allah ‘Azza wa Jall was set to show us that no matter what they say or what excuse they give to invade, know that their intention is rooted in their great hatred of the Correct Deen.
And never is there a possibility that the Jews and the Christians be satisfied with you unless you follow their Millah (i.e., their way of life, the way they want you to practice Islam etc.). (Al-Baqarah: 120)
It is this Deen that they will always hate that purifies the souls from the filth of the dunya, establishes the allegiance to Allah and what He loves, establishes the disavowal to Shirk and everything that Allah hates, and make the people reach the skies with their Imaan through Jihad fi Sabilillah.
And fight them on until there is no more fitnah (i.e., Shirk), and there prevail the Deen of Allah altogether and everywhere... (Al-Anfaal: 39)
With all this, the pious Muslims in Somalia stood patiently with their inferior weaponry and steadfast with the Islamic ‘Aqeedah, and waged Jihad for the sake of Allah against the Crusade. Such brave men are hard to find in this godless age of decadence and cowardliness! Certainly, their souls would be unable to carry this out without having the fruits of Taqwa and the gems of ‘Aqeedah.
Just as the evil tongue of the Munafiqeen unleashed upon the Mujahideen in Afghanistan and those who supported them, it was unleashed against the Mujahideen of Somalia and those who supported them.
During the invasion of Afghanistan in 2001, these cowardly Munafiqeen saw that event as their opportunity to propagate their crooked version of Islam that, "you cannot fight these people; Jihad against them is impossible. Just look at Taliban! They were destroyed! So the only way is the peaceful methodology..." Only those with Imaan were able to penetrate through this Munafiq mode of thinking.
Then Allah ‘Azza wa Jall didn't allow this argument to stand for long as the Taliban rose to power, humiliated the enemies of Allah with their inferior weapons, and established the Shariah in the large Southern portions of Afghanistan. These Munafiqeen are not able to explain this amazing occurrence and will never be able to explain it because once a heart is drained of Taqwa, it will look at the world through secular lenses. Similarly has been the case for Somalia.
The UIC may have been expelled from their land, but that doesn't mean they lost the war. Rather, the war has only begun and already they have become brave lions in their Jihad. So we pray to Allah Ta'ala to strengthen them, pour Sabr upon them, give them victory over the Kafireen, and make it easy for them to re-establish the Shariah in the land.
The worshipers of Allah in Somalia have now become accustomed to the oppression, lies and deception of the Crusaders; therefore, they followed the path of the worshipers of Allah in ‘Iraq and Afghanistan and that is to wage Jihad with the sword of Tawheed against them forever until each of the enemies of Allah leave or are killed and the Islamic State is re-established.
As a part of their onslaught against Islam, the Crusaders started propagating the false idea that the Mujahideen in Somalia kill innocent bystanders intentionally.
Any well-informed Muslim would tell you that every time the Mujahideen launch an attack on the Crusaders, these evil Kafireen would be so helpless from the wall of bullets and skies full of mortars that they would indiscriminately kill the Somalian people by recklessly shooting at them and bombing them just so that they could feel that they "accomplished" something in their minds.
A few news agencies quoted a resident from Somalia as saying, "Two helicopters flew over us. One was making surveillance and the other one was dropping several bombs," said Qoje Omar Gesey.
Another said, "Early in the morning, the government troops and Ethiopians attacked us."
There was even an incident of rape in Somalia - something which was unheard of during the Islamic Rule by the UIC - and one of the victims bravely told news reporters what occurred between her and the Crusader soldiers:
"Last Saturday, as I was driving my donkey-cart loaded with grass near Elirfid settlement, two Ethiopians armed with AK 47 came straight at me suddenly after they come out of a detour. They stopped me under gun-point and forcibly held me to the ground and then everything went against my willing," said Suban, while weeping.
Our pure sisters' bravery will be remembered because she was willing to spill her identity just to tell the truth about the Crusaders even if they kill her for it. Her bravery makes us weep in the nights in front of Allah Ta'ala as we feel her pain and fear for her safety from the cursed Crusaders.
So how can a Mujahid who worships Allah ‘Azza wa Jall not take revenge for his pure sister? How can one call himself a Mujahid and not bring the criminals to justice; a justice which Allah has permitted and blessed this Ummah with? So a Mujahid from the ranks took it upon himself to defend the honor of Islam by defending his sister's honor. With his love for Allah, and Shahaada, he threw himself into the ranks of the enemies and caused destruction and inflicted great harm and injury upon the Crusaders, by the permission of Allah.
