Invaders suddenly decided to change the fact of fighting in Gudermes

Publication time: 16 April 2008, 22:10

Occupation command has issued belated denials of reports on standoff between Kadyrov and Yamadayev formations, which are being highlighted not only by KC using its own sources, but also by Russian and Western media.

"There was no any shootout there. They just 'rattled the saber' and that is why there were no casualties in the skirmish", said suddenly to journalists the chastener Lt. Gen. ringleader of a gang named the "Armed Forces combat training directorate" Vladimir Shamanov, who is known for his brutal crimes against civilians.

But Shamanov's "clarifications" are easily refuted by the same occupation sources, which had previously reported that the "Vostok" (east) gang's ringleader Sulim Yamadayev was in his house in Gudermes. According to source citing one of the Yamayevans, Kadyrov's men are took positions on neighboring streets, there is no direct blockade of the gang.

"They won't dare to blockade us because we have the means and force, as well as the legal cause for the use of force, but we have not had such order so far", said one of the Yamadayevans.

In a local television interview, Kadyrov accused the Yamadayev brothers of a number of crimes.

"The Yamadayev brothers are linked to a number of serious crimes, including murders and abductions, as well as the events in the Borozdinovskaya [village]," puppet said.

Let us mention that from the outset of clashes in Gudermes, Russian invaders report contradictory information on the ongoing standoff between the Chechen murtad gang of "Vostok" (ringleader Sulim Yamadaev) and Kadyrovans (ringleader Ramzan Kadyrov).

According to latest information Gudermes is still sealed off. Kadyrovans have driven back Yamadayevans to their dispositions. Murtadin ringleader was demanded from Yamadayevans to disarm and to hand Badrudi Yamadayev, one of the brothers of competing gangs, who disrespectfully behave toward Kadyrov's motorcade and refused to give way.

Let's recall that formal reason for the outbreak of fighting in Gudermes was a quarrel on highway when Yamadayevans did not give way to Kadyrov's convoy. As a result of conflict Kadyrovans shoot up two Yamadayevans. After that a gun battle was began in Gudermes killing and wounding dozens of people.

According to Reuters at least 18 murtadin had died in a gunfight between the two sides on Monday night.

According to Kavkaz Center 16 Yamadayevans and Kadyrovans were killed and at least 27 murtadin were wounded. Several civilians were also died as a result of the cross-fire.

Meanwhile Kadyrovans launched a manhunt for Yamadayevans. Reports said dozens of Yamadayevans have been taken hostage in different parts of Ichkeria. Houses of Yamadayev brothers were surrounded. Dzhalka village, which is located near to Gudermes, where many of Yamadayevans live, has been sealed off.

On Tuesday on extraordinary meeting with his closest entourage Kadyrov demanded at all costs to kill Yamadayev brothers. According to Kavkaz Center's source, during his hysterical speech Kadyrov was shouting that he is "aware of the plans of enemies on his removal."

The source quoted Kadyrov, who allegedly said that "... nobody can remove me from here - neither Medvedev nor Yamadayev. If someone thinks that Medvedev could kill Ramzan or withdraw him from his post, he is mistaken. Ramzan has a large army, which can destroy any enemy in 2 hours."

According to the source, which reported this information, after these words Kadyrov cried: "Glory to Ramzan....". Participants begin to shout in response: "Ramzan, Ramzan, Ramazan...".

Let us mention in this regard the confrontation between Sulim Yamadayev and Ramzan Kadyrov has sharply intensified when it became known of resignation of Putin and appointment of his successor Medvedev.

Rumors immediately spread in Moscow saying that after approval Medvedev in the Kremlin, he will get rid of Kadyrov as the most odious legacy of Putin.

Commentators and analysts are convinced that Medvedev will begin cleansing Putin's supporters exactly from Kadyrov.

Many in Chechnya believe that the clashes between Kadyrov and Yamadayev are the first major manifestation of emerging confrontation between the new leader of the Kremlin Medvedev and the outgoing from the Kremlin Putin.
