Kavkaz Center is now presenting to the readers the transcript of audio statement recorded by Amir Muslim (Muslim Gakayev), Deputy Commander of Shali Sector of Eastern Front, Caucasus Emirate Armed Forces, after Amir Abu Usman(Dokka Umarov) declared the Islamic Emirate in the Caucasus.

Brief reference:

Amir Muslim (Commander Muslim Gakayev) was born in 1973. He is one of the six Mujahideen brothers from Elistanzhi village in Vedeno District of Chechnya.

His older brother is Amir Husain (born in 1970). Husain is the head of the Islamic Jamaah in Elistanzhi village and the Commander of the Shali Sector of the Eastern Front of the Caucasus Emirate.

Gakayev brothers have participated in almost all well-known events on the territory of CRI (Chechen Republic of Ichkeria, now Province of Ichkeria, Caucasus Emirate, -- Wilayayh Nokhchicho of CE), connected to the confrontation to pro-Moscow opposition of Zavgayev-Gantamirov-Avtorkhanov-Hadjiyev by the legitimate authorities of first Chechen President Jokhar Dudayev, as well as the events of the last two Russian-Chechen wars.

Two oldest brothers, Jamalay (born in 1965) and Said-Usman (born in 1967), were seriously wounded and then died (were martyred) during the 1st war.

The 3rd brother, Hasan (born in 1969), and the youngest, Rizvan (born in 1977), were martyred during the 2nd war, in 2001 and 2003 respectively.

Their sister was abducted during the 2nd war by pro-Russian accomplices from among the Chechen murtadin (apostates), and her fate remains unknown.

Praise be to Allah, glory to the Lord, Who guided us to the right path.

Somebody may think that present-day Mujahideen, as the first Mujahideen, are naive and would take your word for anything you say. No, it's not true. Games of the past are not for the present-day Mujahideen. Today they are thinking, and they know what they are doing.

Earlier we were deluding ourselves when we were saying high-flown words such as: "We are all Chechens, we are united", etc. We thought that all Chechens were Muslim and that any one of them was your brother and your friend.

It turned out to be wrong. Today the majority of crimes and insidious acts are perpetrated by those "Chechens" who were previously among us. Therefore previous Mujahideen and the present-day Mujahideen differ very much in their understanding of the situation.

Previously we fought for the independence of Ichkeria. And we know that independence of Ichkeria was established long ago, insha Allah. Back then the entire Chechen nation, except an insignificant percentage, rose in a united move, and we managed to succeed.

Today, during this Jihad, we are defending Allah's religion. Now we have raised the banner of Allah. Now we are fighting to spread the words of Allah and to establish His law. By the will of Allah, it will happen!

During current Jihad we are enduring the meanness, insidiousness and harm by those who were earlier with us.

Praise be to Allah! Praise be to Allah! Praise be to Allah! We praise Allah that He exposed them to us, or else many people until now would consider them helpers and would trust them.

The previous war was a walk in the park compared to the current one. We were fighting the first war like playing hide-and-seek. It was a small gift from Allah, so that our people could muster up courage before the real battle.

That time Allah granted us victory because there were no disagreements among us. And if we would be reasonable and more firm in our creed, Allah would save the victory for us. We threw kuffar (infidels) out of the country with disgrace, but failed to reach unity after it.

We failed to save the victory. Our hearts were filled with arrogance. Not everybody's hearts, of course. And those arrogant ones are well-known. That was the time of the test.

Praise be to Allah! The second Jihad began like a gift from Allah. This Jihad began like an answer to our requests and supplications about it. And we do not doubt it at all, because we have nothing to hide.

For example, I don't hide that I zealously prayed to Allah, supplicating to Him asking to grant us this Jihad. I performed many prayers with these supplications, and I don't regret it at all, because Chechen people started going lower and lower, sinking in quarrels and internal strife.

Praise be to Allah, Who changed His rage to mercy, and sent us Jihad, this abundance, like a gift. And we are pleased with this gift, insha Allah.

Therefore today's Mujahideen understand it and wage Jihad with careful consideration, knowing what they are doing and why they are doing it.

Praise be to Allah! What is the most important for us today? To wage Jihad in the name of Allah, and die in the path of Allah. Allah made Jihad obligatory for every Muslim, and nobody can lead astray a person who is carrying out the order of Allah.

Today everyone is waging Jihad differently. Some people are sacrificing their souls and their bodies, others are waging it with supplications, others with their property.

Allah says in the Holy Quran:

"Strive (your utmost) in the Cause of Allah, with your property and your persons..."
(61:11).

Jihad with property is mentioned before Jihad with yourself (i. e. with one's life) is mentioned. Jihad with soul (body) is harder and higher than Jihad with wealth. However Jihad with wealth must be waged by everyone with no exception, and supplicating to Allah asking Him to help Muslims is upon every Muslim.

I will say a few words about Zakayev's men. Praise be to Allah, with Whose help the truth about those people was revealed. Those people were the same in the past, and we don't hear anything new from them.

Today, from Sharo-Argun and Gudermes, to the territories of the plains, we, the Mujahideen, know each other by face and often meet.

I will tell what the Mujahideen think about it. If you want to know the truth about opinions of the Mujahideen, then know that we have very little interest towards Zakayev and his circle, and we don't pay much attention to them. We think that all their talks about Ichkeria are nothing but idle chatter.

We know perfectly well what those people, who are making "wise speeches", are trying to achieve, and what they would want from us. Any one of them needs from us only a photo with a beard. A video is all that they need from us.

Everyone will answer to Allah for his deeds, and Allah sees everything, praise be to Him!

Allah says:

"Allah doth know what they conceal, and what they reveal"
(16:23).

Everything that seems to us, that is said by us, that we imagine, can't be an absolute truth, and we can't know the unseen. We must use our mind, granted to us by Allah. This world is organized in such a way that everyone must answer, insha Allah, for every word dropped from his tongue. And we swear, that if we stay alive, insha Allah, for certain and as soon as possible will we call those people to account.

Today those people are contradicting themselves. We sometimes hear some of their talks on the radio. They are sitting there and saying, that "everything Mujahideen do is useless... brings death... no future... there must be some goal...".

Of course, there must be a goal! And Jihad is waged with a specific goal, and if there is no goal, how can we wage Jihad? But what goal must it be? What intentions must have a Mujahid (Warrior), who goes to Jihad?

Allah, Holy and Great, says:

"Bargain ye with Allah with your property and souls. Bargain ye with Allah and come out to Jihad. Allah doth not violate the covenant until ye yourselves violate it..."

The war becomes senseless, when you fight not for the sake of Allah, not to elevate and spread the word of Allah, and not to establish the Sharia of Allah. And everything in this world is transient, and is a temptation that leads to corruption. May Allah save us from such fate!

If you listen to those people, they are saying that we (the Mujahideen) "so much lack ideas and goals", and according to them, we are playing children's games here.

Furthermore. They are talking about a "constitution", "Ichkerian constitution"... "Russian constitution"... And who is fighting here for their "constitution"?

Then be advised that every Mujahid here does not hold a copy of a  "constitution" in his hands, but it is the Qur'an of Allah that he holds. Our constitution is the Qur'an and the Sharia of Allah. Everything is said in the Sharia, and that is our constitution, insha' Allah.

Our goal is to elevate the word of Allah. Today the Mujahideen are dying with the name of Allah on their lips. "Laa ilaaha illa Allaah, Muhammadun rasulu-Llah" ("There is no other god but Allah, and Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah"), with these words our brothers go away to the throne of Allah, by His will.

Look at the Mujahideen and listen to the prayers that they say. They are asking Allah to help them recite the Shahadah ("The Testimony"): "Laa ilaaha illa Allah", before their last breath. And everything else is decaying, everything else is a path to corruption. May Allah save us from such fate!

Those several people in their "parliament", who put together so called "government in exile", are serving Western interests and are executing their orders.

That person... is walking there hand in hand with a baroness... because, if he lets her go, his cause will be lost.

Kuffar (infidels) keep such people like exotic objects, they use them for their purposes. And we are not fools, we are not blind not to know it and see it. It is too obvious today.

Let them build democracy or whatever, we don't mind, but let them build it where they are now, and not where we are. If they don't want to sit still, let them explore the Western culture and get used to it, if they like it so much.

But may they know, that the State that will be built on the laws of Allah, will never let those people do their business by laws invented by themselves and not by the Sharia, insha Allah. They will never be allowed even to come close to matters related to the State, and in order to prevent such things, thousands of the Mujahideen are striving today in the path of Allah, insha Allah!

Today, whoever he may be, representative of any nation, who loves the word of Allah and lives by His laws, insha Allah, is our brother. And here (on Chechen soil) this brother will always feel himself as in his homeland, insha Allah.

As we have already said, democrats have the opportunity to live by their own discretion where they are living now. We do not mind Chechens who "married" Russians and are fighting against us for "Yedinaya Rossia" ("United Russia"), and let them build that "Russia". But let them do it there, in Moscow, and not here. A Muslim land must be ruled by the Islamic laws!

What was that person's name... I forget... Beshiyev, Beshayev? I listened to him on the radio. He said that the "constitution of Ichkeria" should not be changed, and at the same time added that the same thing is happening in Ingushetia and Dagestan as in Chechnya. Exactly because Muslims are being killed in Ingushetia, Dagestan and everywhere in the Caucasus, this is why we are talking about the entire Caucasus.

Today the Mujahideen are not going to build Ichkeria alone. Ichkeria (Nokhchicho) is just one of the provinces (wilayat) of our State, the Emirate of the Caucasus, because the Mujahideen are everywhere, in Dagestan, Ingushetia, Kabarda, Karachai, Cherkessia, everywhere in the Caucasus.

Insha Allah, if Allah wills, we will cleanse the land of the Caucasus from the enemies of Islam. This is what has been proclaimed. This is what those people were afraid of so much, and Allah exposes them.

The important thing is that they are not saying anything new. Allah exposes their nature. We knew them already. Maybe now Allah is exposing them to others.

This is the way the things go.
