KC's journalists have discovered that the scenario of the Russian-Georgian war of August 2008 was composed back in 2001.
It was in 2001 when Ghost Recon computer game became available. This is an FPS (First-Person Shooting) type of game, in which US commandos together with the Georgian military fight against the army of the Russian invaders on the Georgian soil in the year of... 2008!
Here is a brief description of the game: in 2008 Russia undergoes another sharp change in its policy, which the new Kremlin's clique is responsible for. After pacifying the internal opponents, the new government of Russia sets its sights on its neighbors, while dreaming of restoring the Soviet Union.
According to the game's scenario, Russia will attack Georgia in 2008 with no anticipation to meet with any serious resistance in its way.
The plans, however, are doomed to failure, for the American servicemen come to defend Georgia. Elite units of US commandos, the Green Berets, who call themselves "Ghosts", armed with super-modern weaponry, deal deadly blows on the adversary.
Part of their assignment is to carry out all sorts of sabotage operations and provide full support to the US peacekeepers guarding Georgian borders.
In the end of the game Americans capture the Kremlin.
