Yamadayev gets dismissed to the 'reserve' and tells that 20 Chechen girls left for the mountains to join the Mujahideen

Publication time: 23 August 2008, 13:43

In his interview to Utro.ru edition the ringleader of the Vostok ("East") gang (of pro-Russian collaborators), Sulim Yamadayev, who was just recently dismissed to the "reserve" and kept all of his "ranks and awards", has said that the number of youth leaving for the mountains to join the Mujahideen has been on the increase in Chechnya, as well as in other regions of the Caucasus Emirate.

He also said that recently as many as 20 Chechen girls have fled to the mountains and joined the Jihad.

"There is the information that 20 girls 15 to 20 years of age have left for the woods in Chechnya... The outflow is continuing. We have the information about who is leaving for the mountains. In the Jamaahs fighting in Chechnya there are people from Saudi Arabia. We know who supports them. Earlier their forces were diminishing, but this year they got many people. The number of clashes increased too, there are casualties.

"The Jamaahs have become more active in Dagestan and Ingushetia. Unless we do a decent job in the North Caucasus, South Ossetian scenario will repeat in other places and the third campaign in Chechnya will be guaranteed. The internal fighting and ousting the undesirables have led to the fact that the Wahhabis are now raising their heads. Caucasus is a vulnerable place for Russia. Many would like to detonate it in order to weaken Russia," as the ringleader of the Vostok ("East") gang of pro-Russian thugs, Sulim Yamadayev, has complained.
