Official business of Yamadayevs

Publication time: 2 October 2008, 18:57

Traditionally, investigation considers all possible hypotheses of the reasons for murder and examines closely the victim's business so that to reveal possible conflicts.

Yamadayevs are present to a rather large extent in the building market of Gudermes. At least six firms belong to their family business. They are engaged not only in general construction, but also in trading with building materials, cement production and selling the vehicles. The firm "Yamad", founded by Aslan and Petimat Yamadayevs, has four branches: "Yamad-cement", "Yamad-stroitrans" (it's being liquidated now), the branch "Building technologies" and additional "Gudermes branch". The director of "Yamad", Kaim Goigereev, used to head a local firm "Terk" that produced building stone. It was "Yamad" to construct a big mosque in Gudermes in commemoration of Jabrail Yamadayev, the commander of the Chechen special unit, killed in March 2003.

In March last year Isa and Aslan Yamadayevs founded a firm "Building Technologies" in Gudermes. They also have business in Moscow. A year after, in March 2008 a building company "Inmir" appeared, where besides Isa Yamadayev co-founders were Viktor and Natalia Tumanovs, also Maxim Tyurin.

We failed to get in touch with those firms using the phone numbers, pointed at registration.

Since September 2005 up to recently Isa Yamadayev also was registered as a founder of a Moscow firm "Yamad Trade Company", where co-fonder and general director was Isa Arsanukaev.

As we managed to establish, Isa Arsanukaev (if this is that exactly person) used to work in the center of internal audit at the federal railroad transport department, in an administrative-economic department OAO RJD and at the Federal Agency for regulation of the food market. In the middle of the ‘90s, he was mentioned in the materials of criminal case #75093, allegedly started on the count of resistance offered to the police officers.

We failed to phone up Isa Arsanukaev on a mobile phone number, pointed in the registration documents, as it is out of working.

In November last year, Sulim Yamadayev, who is on wanted file now because of the recent skirmish with the Ramzan Kadyrov's motorcade, created a charity Fund "After Hero of Russia Jabrail Yamadayev" and became its president. Jointly with the central council of "Dynamo" sports club, the Fund has been organizing a boxer's tournament in commemoration of Jabrail Yamadayev. The central council of "Dynamo" is represented with Vladimir Pronichev, the head of border service, Yuri Blinov, the head of the center of special training at FSB, Vladimir Volkov, the head of HR at Foreign Intelligence Service, also with MVD high ranking officials, assistants of the Russian President's Representatives and other officials.

Considering the budget means, allotted for restoration of Chechnya, the building sphere there is quite profitable business, accessible for few. However, the contradictions between Yamadayevs brothers and Kadyrov, were not favorable for their business, despite their close relations to the Russian enforcing services. We have not found the names of their companies among the contractors receiving money from the state. The only exception was that the director of the Yamadayevs firm "Building technologies" Aslambek Salavatov used to head the consumer services center that was a couple of years ago mentioned in the "List of suppliers of products for the needs of the Chechen Republic". That enterprise supplied pyjamas, dressing gowns and bedclothes.
