Attacks in Ghalghaycho Leave Four Police Wounded

At least four policemen were wounded in Wilayah Ghalghaycho during the last 24 hours. In separate incidents, a civilian was killed and a café was bombed.

Jabrail Tsechoyev, a police commando serving in the special purpose battalion of the Ingush Interior Ministry, was seriously wounded with small arms fire around 2:05 PM Saturday on the 565th km of Caucasus highway, a security official told RIA Novosti. ITAR-TASS, citing security officials, reported that the policeman served in OMON and was wounded in a sniper attack on a checkpoint at the so called Magas circle in Nazran.

A Dolakovo village resident was fatally wounded when his VAZ-2107 vehicle was attacked with small arms fire around 2 PM Saturday in the center of Nazran, a security official told RIA Novosti. The attackers reportedly drove away in a silver colored VAZ-2109 vehicle. Ingushetia.org identified the killed man as Magomed Ozdoyev.

Two police were wounded when their VAZ-2110 vehicle was attacked with small arms fire around 12:40 PM Saturday in Ordzhonikidzevskaya, a security official told RIA Novosti. The attackers were inside a red VAZ-2107 vehicle, police told ITAR-TASS.

A café building was slightly damaged when an explosive device detonated inside it on Oskanov street around 12:10 AM Saturday in Ordzhonikidzevskaya. The café was closed for repairs at the time of the explosion, nobody was hurt, a security official told RIA Novosti.

Policemen were attacked with small arms fire Friday night at the outskirts of Nazran, nobody was hurt, Russian military told Interfax.

A policeman was wounded in his arm in a sniper attack around 3 PM Friday in Troitskaya, a security official told RIA Novosti. Interfax was told by a security official that the policeman was shot at his post near the Sunzhensky district police department.
