Last update: 21 March 2009, 17:30
Publication time: 21 March 2009, 13:41

A fierce battle between the joined gangs of infidels and local apostates and the Mujahideen took place near Kakashura in Karabudakhkent district of Dagestan Province of the Caucasus Emirate throughout Friday, local sources reported.

Russian invaders and their puppet formations are using artillery, heavy mortars, aircraft, armored vehicles. Gangs of various kinds of the so-called "Special Forces" multiple times tried to approach to positions of the Mujahideen after intensive artillery and helicopter gunship shellings. Each time the Mujahideen had repelled enemy attacks.

In an episode of the gunbattle on Friday morning, one of the mobile squads of Mujahideen unexpectedly attacked a large group of infidels and apostates, tried to surround Mujahideen from a flank, Kavkaz Center's source reported. As a result of this attack at least 4 invaders and puppet militiamen were eliminated and several enemy soldiers were wounded.

Sources reported that the total number of casualties of the infidels and apostates reaches 9 killed and at least 11 wounded men.

The intensity of the battle was subsided with the onset of the dark. The occupation forces through the night shelled Mujahideen positions by mortars and artillery.

The occupation command has specified the number of their casualties, claiming 5 "members of Special Forces" killed and 3 policemen wounded. Thus the infidels initially declared that in a course of action 5 or 7 Mujahideen were died.

Thick fog with zero visibility mixed with snow announced in the area on Saturday morning makes difficult using of aircraft against the Mujahideen.

A dug-out and 9 dead Mujahideen were announced found in the woods by Saturday noon. Later the infidels announced that 12 Mujahideen, led by Emir Abdul-Ghafur Zakaryayev, were killed.

We would like to specify thereupon that all this time the occupation command had claimed that it is fighting with the unit of Emir Magomedali Vagabov.
