Conflicting information from Nalchik

A fierce firefight took place overnight Thursday in the central part of Nalchik city on the Metchnikov Street near the Central Market and bus station.

The apostates said that the battle began approximately at 1:30 am local time. According to infidels 4 Mujahideen were holed up in an apartment building surrounded by the gang formations of MIA and FSB.

In the morning the infidels declared that in a course of action, which lasted until dawn, all 4 Mujahideen martyred.

It has been declared that the Emir of the Combined Province of Kabarda, Balkaria and Karachay (Anzor Astemirov) could be among the dead. However, later it was stated that Emir Sayfullah had not been in the apartment.

Infidels and apostates did not report precise data about their casualties. It was declared that only two Special Forces members have been injured in the battle.

Meanwhile a few explosions occurred in battle zone in the morning. The sources reported that the battle place has been sealed off. The details are unknown.

Local residents reported about sporadic shooting and explosions. Radio "Echo of Moscow" reported that it 2 Mujahideen could be in the apartment.

Moreover, closer to noon the Command of infidels stated that the area around the building is still cordoned off, and "bearing in mind that the apartment is located in a densely populated area, Special Forces are operating pointwise, so that there would not be casualties among the civilian population", in fact, recognizing that the battle is still going on.

Afternoon infidels stated that 3 Mujahideen were killed during the battle. However, the Mujahideen were not found in the apartment. Later on it was announced that 2 Mujahideen were killed.

Meanwhile, the residents themselves say that they have not been evacuated and no one worried about their fate. The battle started at midnight. There have not been any evacuations. People came out of their apartments at their own risk.
