The Strasbourg court found Russia guilty of the disappearance and death of the Chechens. Relatives of the victims should receive compensation from Russia for the total amount of 105 thousand euros.
The European Court of Human Rights in Strasbourg again found Russia guilty of human rights violations in Chechnya. Judges satisfy claims of relatives of three men, who in the year 2000 were abducted in Chechnya and were killed, says in the press release of the court in the Internet.
The Strasbourg Court has concluded that Russia was in all three cases had violated the right to life of the Chechens.
According to the judges in all three cases, the missing men were abducted by Russian invaders. Some of Russia's attempts to explain what happened looked unconvincing and contradictory, said the agency KNA.
In addition, Russia's authorities failed to ensure proper investigation of these cases of disappearances in Chechnya.
