10 to 15 apostates killed by Mujahideen in fightings in Vedeno district

Publication time: 22 December 2009, 17:41

Sources from the Caucasus Emirate's Province of Nokhchicho (aka Ichkeria/Chechnya) reported that during 5-days small-arms battles near the settlements of Dargo and Belgatoi, Vedeno District, 10 and 15 apostates had been killed.

3 Mujahideen fighters martyred (inshaAllah). The commander of the Tsentoroi Sector of the Caucasus Emirate's Eastern Front, Emir Sawab is among the martyrs.

The apostates were supported by Russian infidels from Special Forces units, helicopter gunships and artillery.

It is to mentioned that the  apostates' ringleader  Kadyrov earlier said that  4 Mujahideen had been killed in Dargo, and that one of the reserve winter bases of the Mujahideen had been destroyed.

After initial allegations that the Mujahideen were blocked and soon every one of them would be killed, apostates in their later statement on Tuesday explained that due to "weather conditions and snowfall it was very hard to pursue militants."

According to apostates, "the militants were hiding in underground bunkers equipped even with toilets and didn't need to come to the surface".

Last summer, the apostates' ringleader Kadyrov said that only 50 Mujahideen were left in the mountains. He promised to "kill them all" within 1 month. At the end of the month, he announced that "all the militants would be destroyed within 2 months".

In September, the ringleader "changed time" and said the war would end before the end of 2009.

Similar promises have been made by Kadyrov for several years.

On Tuesday, Kadyrov's apostates explained why there were still fightings in the mountains. They said that "militants were very small in number and therefore it was difficult to find them". They take advantage of their small numbers and "commit various acts of terrorism", the apostates said.
