FSB says Georgia ostensibly prepares saboteurs and transfers them to Caucasus Emirate

Publication time: 23 December 2009, 16:33

According to the gang of FSB (Federal Security Service) of Russia" in Dagestan, subversive and "terrorist" groups are being prepared on the territory of Georgia in order to transfer them to Dagestan.

According to Russian gang, the group's goal is to carry out subversive acts and "terrorist" attacks on power and energy system facilities and railways.

"Our department has received information that before the New Year subversive and terrorist group might be transferred to the territory of the republic from the Georgian side. Now we are cross-checking this information," - informed in Russian gang in occupied Dagestan. According to them, in connection with this information, control on the Dagestani section of Russian-Georgian border has been intensified.

According to Irakli Tskitishvili of "the Club f Experts", "this statement by Russian security services is just another lie" intended for internal use.

It should be noted that every time when the situation is becoming more aggrieved Russia begins to "talk about possible risks coming from various regions of Georgia", - says Tskitishvili. He believes that in this case, "the main thing for Russia is to shift the focus to another issue and thus conceal a fact of escape of warrant officer Vitaly Khripun from from deployed in the Tskhinvali region border service of Russian FSB to Georgia.

Tskitishvili does not rule out that "this information campaign aims at accusing Georgia of the processes that have been occurring recently in Dagestan and where terrorist acts are being carried out every day."
