14 years since the date of Dzhokhar Dudayev's death

Late at night on 21st of April, 1996, as a result of terrorist act the first president of the Independent Chechen State general Dzhokhar Dudayev became a Martyr (Insha'Allah). The rocket hit Dudayev when the Chechen president was talking over satellite phone in a deserted area near Gekhi-chu village in western CRI (Chechen Republic of Ichkeria).

The Russian leadership hoped that with Dudayev's death the Chechen resistance will stop and the war will quickly come to an end in favor of the occupational army. However the events following the incident showed that the hopes of Kremlin could not be fulfilled. Chechens did not backslide, but on the contrary concentrated all their efforts and struck a crushing blow to the aggressors, liberating the capital of their homeland and taking full control of situation in the country.

After Dudayev's death the Chechen government created a special investigation team in order to establish the organizers and executors of that act of terrorism. Before the expulsion of Russian occupational army from the Chechen Republic, the investigation team was working clandestinely. With the restoration of CRI sovereignty, starting from August 1996 till September 1999, the Chechen investigators worked legally, gathering all necessary information related to that act of terrorism.

From the time of another intrusion of Russian aggressors into the Chechen Republic, the investigation team was re-classified and began operating on underground conditions.

As of today a great volume of information and documents, which partially throw some light on the murder of first Chechen president by means of terrorism, have been collected. It was established, that the special services of the US and Russia were involved in the terrorist act against Dudayev. The direct involvement of high military and political leadership of those countries was established as well.

According to one of the versions, the whereabouts of Dudayev was communicated to the Russians under direct instruction of Clinton administration, by the US National Security Agency (NSA) which was monitoring Chechen president's satellite communications when he was using INMARSAT system.

Besides, it is established that the order to organize the terrorist act was directly given by Yeltsin. The organizers and executors of the terrorist act were decorated with Russian Hero golden stars personally by Yeltsin.

The process of gathering information on the organizers and executors of the terrorist act against Dzhokhar Dudayev is now being conducted by leadership of the Caucasus Emirate. Some names have already been established. The investigation will be completed. The organizers and executors of that terrorist attack will be severely punished without a limitation period.
