Publication time: 8 September 2010, 12:08

A federal judge in a village of Russia-occupied Caucasus Emirate province of Kabardino-Balklaria has been murdered on Wednesday.

"A car carrying Dzhulber Bykov came under fire when it approached his home. He died from wounds he sustained," said a local puppet law enforcement source as quoted by the Interfax news agency.

The assassination could be connected to the judge's professional duties, said the source.

In the neighboring province of Ingushetia, Mujahideen fired three grenades at a border guard unit in the capital of Nazran. No reports on the casualties have been made so far.
