Scotland is going to secede from England in coming years and to organize a referendum on the issue. If succeeded, Edinburgh will try enter the NATO as a separate member state.
Scottish authorities hope to establish through NATO good relations with Nordic countries, like Norway and Denmark. And they will need to protect the Arctic territory from Russia's claims, reports a Russian KGB TV channel "Dozhd (Rain)".
Scottish nationalists, led by Alex Salmond, aim to break away from England, the KGB enthusiastically reports.
The issue of referendum started a long time ago. And in London, they believe it will be a failure, since many people are just scared by the idea of Scottish independence.
Especially for those who have not yet made a decision, Alex Salmond and his supporters have come up with an idea of "independence lite".
Under the plan, Scotland will become a separate state, but there will be the British currency. Economy will continue to govern by the Bank of England, and public television will remain the Leftist Putin-frienly BBC News. As there is no serious army in Scotland, NATO membership would be also
welcomed.
If they manage to convince the population of the country, then, in a couple of years, the British Isles will be renamed into the Scottish ones.
