Putin's victim reports about tortures by the Russian KGB in Ukrainian prison

Publication time: 18 August 2012, 02:42

According to Ukrainian media, a Chechen refugee Adam Osmayev is afraid of leaving Ukraine and claims not to be a Russian citizen.

This was reported at a press conference held by Valery Kochetov, president of the Odessa Academy of Human Rights and head of the National Center for the Protection of Constitutional Rights in Ukraine.

During the press conference, a lawyer of the Chechen said that Adam Osmayev applied for refugee status in Ukraine and claims not to be a Russian citizenship.

His spouse Amina Okueva reported a wish from her husband from prison not to transfer his case to Russia.

"Adam wants to appear before an Ukrainian court", Amina Okueva said.

According to a lawyer of the defendant, the case against the Chechen in Ukraine cannot be held at an Ukrainian court as there is no direct evidence of his guilt.

In Russia, no one accused in an attempt to execute the local bloody dictator Putin has been ever tried in a court of law. All of them just "disappeared" without trace. Adam Osmayev fears the same fate for his defendant and said that he would also "disappear" without trace in prison or during the travel, or will be put in an psychiatric asylum, where the Russian KGB "doctors" will inject him deadly drugs 5 to 6 times a day, so that he finally turns into a "vegetable".

The lawyer and wife of the Russian KGB victim also asked the pro-Russian president Yanukovych not to allow his extradition to Russia, where Mr. Osmayev will be killed.

The defendant's lawyer also said that contrary to the Ukrainian legislation, the interrogations in Ukraine were conducted by the Russian KGB men who put a plastic bag on his head, made injections with unknown drugs that acted as a stimulant. Moreover, during the investigation, burns of unknown origin appeared on his body.

According to the investigation, a blast took place in an apartment in the Ukrainian city of Odessa on January 4, where the suspects studied the technology of manufacture of explosive devices. Two burned people were found there.

Because at that time fraudulent elections were held in Russia (Putin's self-selection for the presidency), they were accused, to boost Putin's rating, of preparing execution of Putin, allegedly on instructions from intelligence services of the Caucasus Emirate.

Meanwhile, the wife of Mr. Osmayev said in an interview with the BBC Russian Service that the second defendant, a Kazakhstan's citizen Ilya Pyanzin is likely to be a KGB man who acted as an agent provocateur. The KGB does not insist on his extradition to Russia.

Through his lawyers, Adam Osmayev issued a statement of August 13 to the media. The statement became available to the public only recently. The KC publishes the statement without cuts and changes:

I, Adam Osmayev, am a defendant in the criminal case ¹734 being charged with committing of the offenses under Part 1 of Art. 14 and Part 2 of Article 258, Part 2, Art. 258-3; Part 1 of Art. 263; Art. 196 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, these charges include the perpetration of the terrorist act, participation in the terrorist group, illegal handling of explosives, unintentional damage to the property of others, which resulted in the death of a person and also in using of the forged documents, - officially state that after the events of January 4, 2012 and the physical pressure to which I have been subjected, - I have lost some memory: do not recall the childhood and youth and almost do not recall the parents. I respond to the surname of Osmayev and I write on behalf of Osmayev because the investigative and legal actions against me were conducted using this surname. The fact of my confession that I am Adam Osmayev and that I was involved in the plot of assassination of Mr. Putin can be explained by two implicit circumstances.

Firstly, anyone whose head was to be wrapped in a plastic bag would confess that he participated in the assassination of the president Kennedy, as well as in the assassination attempt on the Pope.

Secondly, after my dissent to take the responsibility for the crime which has not been perpetrated, investigator told me that if I do not voluntarily confess in my involvement in the preparation of Mr. Putin's assassination plot, I will be extradited to Russia, where I will be tortured and humiliated for a long period of time and then will just be killed. He (investigator) promised that if I were to take the responsibility and to confess than I would get a short prison term and under any circumstances would not be extradited. After such physical and psychological pressure, while being in a state of complete depression, I agreed that I was Adam Osmayev and that I was taking part in the plot of the assassination of Mr. Putin.

Moreover, the doctors told that I had 35% of my body burnt and injected me with unknown substance before every interrogation; the drugs have substantially affected me and rendered me in a state of euphoria. I came to Ukraine, lived in Ukraine and was detained by law enforcement agencies of Ukraine on the charges of committing of a criminal offense under the name of Dolakov Sultan Akhmedovich.

The only document proving my identity - is the passport in the name of Dolakov Sultan Akhmedovich, it was seized from me by the law enforcement officers; currently it is included in the documentation of the criminal case ¹734. After all what has happened to me I cannot attest who in fact, am I - Osmayev or Dolakov.

In such circumstances establishing of my identity is the foremost duty of the investigation unit and the court. The only way to determine identity in this case is to conduct the genotypic examination.

The only thing that I can firmly state now is that I have never participated in any plot of Mr. Putin's assassination, the laptop, which investigation unit has used to produce evidence, was not owned by me, and those publicly available materials about Mr. Putin's motorcade movement found in this laptop have not been downloaded by me.

I also state that at present moment I am not the citizen of the Russian Federation. On June 11, 2012 I have forwarded the application to the Office for Refugees (GU GMS) in the Odessa region of Ukraine pleading to grant me the refugee status. I have been denied the registration of the application documents for the refugee status (notification from 06.11.2012 ¹175-446). Currently, the notification ¹175-446 is being appealed in the Regional Administrative Court of Odessa. No decision has been passed yet. According to the Russian law "On Citizenship of the Russian Federation" dated 31. 05. 2002 N62-FZ (art. 18), renunciation of the citizenship of the Russian Federation by a person residing in a foreign country is based on the voluntary will of the person in a simplified procedure.

Therefore, by contacting the competent authorities of Ukraine regarding my refugee status I have thus expressed my free will and have officially abandoned Russian citizenship. I also state that one employee of the Russian Federal Security Service, told me that I will not even reach Moscow but will be liquidated on way there immediately after the extradition will commence. The FSS (FSB) employee told me straightforwardly that such "Chechen louse" like me does not deserve the right for investigation, trial or humane death.

Currently, the use of torture in Russia, violence, political assassinations and persecution based on the ethnicity is not only a recognized phenomenon, but was legally certified by the European Parliament's resolution on 16 of December 2010 as well as by the "Act on the rule of law and accountability in the name of Sergei Magnitsky" adopted by the US Congress on June 7, 2012.

Sir/Madam Judge, members of the board of the Odessa Regional Court of Appeal: Balan Vasily, Gridina Natalia (unfortunately, the name of the third member of the Judicial Board is unknown to me, since I was deprived of the right to participate in the hearing, which addressed the issue of my life and death), I officially declare that deliberately unjust manner in which the court proceedings have been conducted violating all of the universally recognized human rights and freedoms is illegal.

I also state that your judgment regarding my extradition passed in such circumstances is deliberately unjust and renders you the direct organizers and accomplices in my murder, which will inevitably occur in case of my extradition.

I state that in the case of my death, Balan Vasily Dmitrievich, Gridina Natalia and the third member of the Judicial Board must be considered the organizers and accomplices in my premeditated murder.

I state that in the event of my death I ask that you are to be considered the organizers and accomplices of my premeditated murder. Also, I demand that my post-mortem will be carried out and that the above-mentioned persons be prosecuted for my death and their names included in the list of those prosecuted according to the law "Of the Magnitsky case".

I remind you, honorable judges, that there is the Supreme Court - the Court of God. If I die because of your fault then you will be convicted by this Court as well as by the court of history.

I send a copy of this statement to the President of Ukraine - the guarantor of the Constitution of Ukraine, to the European Parliament offices in Ukraine, to the United States embassies in Ukraine, to the German Embassy in Ukraine, to the British Embassy in Ukraine and to the embassies of other European countries, as well as to the president of Russia - Mr. Putin.
