Russia backed Alawite army mortar and artillery shelling of an area of southern Damascus where Palestinian refugees live has killed at least 20 peaceful Muslims.
Residents in the camp said that for the last two weeks Camp Yarmouk had been closed off by murderous Alawite regime from neighboring districts. Since early on Thursday they reported heavy bombardment in the area.
Locals said the Alawite army intensified its attack on the district whose Palestinian residents are suspected by crazy Assad of siding with freedom fighters.
Assad's forces are trying to re-establish full control in Damascus as well as fighting freedom fighters in the northern city of Aleppo.
Persistent air strikes and bombardment of liberated areas in northern and southern provinces in the country have prompted waves of refugees to flee to Turkey and Jordan.
In the southern province of Deraa, 45 Russian tanks were sent by Alawites to the border town of Tel Shehab, an anti-Assad stronghold which has served as a transit point for refugees crossing into Jordan.
Freedom fighters withdrew from the town before the Assad army offensive started. No shots were fired. There were no clashes
Nevertheless, the Alawites burned homes of several activists and killed at least 4 peaceful Muslims. Over 40 Muslims were arrested. The cowardly Assad army offensive was brief.
The Alawite security forces retreated from the center of the town but are on its fringe right now and there is a column of Russian tanks on the highway leading to the town.
