Afghanistan. IEA martyr eliminates group of key CIA officers in Kabul

Publication time: 8 September 2012, 15:30

A martyr bomber has struck outside occupation ISAF headquarters in Kabul, killing 6 to 10 people, invader and puppet officials said.

The attack on Friday, which puppets say was allegedly carried out by a 12-year-old teenager, also wounded at least five others.

The Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan (IEA) Mujahideen took responsibility for the attack, saying they had dispatched a bomber to target the Kabul offices of the US Central Intelligence Agency (CIA).

"One of our Mujahideen targeted an important intelligence office used for recruiting Americans and Afghans for spying", IEA spokesman Zabihullah Mujahid said.

The bomber blew himself up near the entrance of Camp Eggers, a NATO spokeswoman said, referring to a sprawling base that is home to 2,500 coalition trainers.

Al Jazeera's Bernard Smith, reporting from Kabul, said that puppet police reports blame a lone martyr bomber wearing an explosive vest. The man approached his target on a bicycle, puppets said.

The IEA spokesman however denied Western media propaganda about the "12-year-old suicide bomber".

He indicated that the martyrdom attack has been carried out by a 28-year-old Mujahid named Abbas, a native of the province of Logar.

In addition, a spokesman for the IEA said that the target of the attack was the key CIA officers and headquarters building. This goal has been achieved. 5 CIA officers are eliminated and 2 more seriously wounded.

According Zabihullah Mujahid, this is only preliminary data that can later be specified.
