Free Syrian Army brought down a Russian-made Mig fighter jet near the town of Atarib in Aleppo province. They surrounded a military building, headquarters of regiment 46, near the town of Awrem, loyal to Assad's regime. Many groups took part in the attack. Most of the brigades in the area participated in this operation.''
Freedom fighters were attacking a military base by RPG [Rocket Propelled Grenade] - by mortar near the town when the jet flew over and they shot it down with anti-aircraft guns. The attack by one of the main brigades of the Free Syrian Army (FSA) took place on Saturday around 6am, local time on the western side of Aleppo.
Freedom fighters managed to inflict heavy damage onto on the outpost and surrounding check points.
