The Voice of Jihad, referring to the spokesman of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan Zabihullah Mujahid, reported that on September 29 the Afghan Mujahideen stormed the district center Wardaj in Badakhshan province (see map), which borders the Mountainous Badakhshan region of Tajikistan.
IEA units simultaneously attacked the headquarters of the district "police" and the building of puppet "administration". Scores of the enemy soldiers and the military police of the puppet forces were killed and wounded, where Mujahideen combatants captured as many as 20 policemen along with their weapons and seizing a considerable amount of arms and ammo and other tools and stuff from the possession of the enemy. At least four enemy's military vehicles were destroyed in Saturday's attack.
On September 30 American aggressors ran from one of the largest military bases of the invaders in the Gomal district (see map) in Paktika province, from which they used to carry out punitive raids and sorties around the province. Invaders loaded into trucks, APCs and helicopters, and then left the military facility.
The base has been often targeted by the Mujahideen of the Islamic Emirate, and all the military hardware was immediately blown up on leaving the territory of the base. Once all the foreign invaders evacuated from the base, the Mujahideen took control of the area
