Russian invaders from the gang of riot police carried out mass arrests of Muslim in the Dagestani village of Novokayakents after Juma prayers on Friday.
According to eyewitnesses, the Russian blocked the roads and moved armored vehicles when Muslims started to go home after the prayers.
Foreign invaders halted cars and carried out search. They were looking for some people according to their lists. Checkpoints were manned by the invaders and a couple of local police puppets.
At the exit of the village, the Russians posed at the checkpoint an armored truck, with machine guns in the openings. Russian snipers were also seen in the area.
The invaders were also wearing masks.
All the detainees were brought to a local bandit den of "the district police department". Among the first arrested was a local preacher named Kamil Abu Sultan.
The Russians arrested him saying said that they were executing an order "to bring him to the police station for a talk".
Eyewitnesses report that there were a lot of detained Muslims and many damaged cars in the yard of the "police station". But there were no usual beatings or threats of violence.
Kamil Abu Sultan said on his blog that "the chat had never happened". After some time, he was released. The Russians gave him no reason for his detention.
All other detainees were released later in the evening after the Russian took their fingerprints and made photos of them.
Kavkaz Center analysts believe that the mass detention of Muslims in Novokayakente was a demonstrative "terrorist preventive action" to intimidate the Muslims. The people who attend morning and Friday Juma prayers are considered by foreign invaders as "most radical". In short, these believers were included into a Russian list of "unreliable and dangerous elements".
